BANANAS FOSTER (COCKTAIL)

This is an ice cream drink. I love the dessert, Bananas Foster. So when I saw this drink in my Bartending & Drink Recipes cookbook, I just had to try it. I'm glad that I did!

Bananas Foster (cocktail) image

Steps:

  • 1. Chop the bananas in pieces. Place the bananas and other ingredients in a blender. Pulse or blend until the mixture is smooth. Swirl caramel syrup in the glasses. Divide the mixture between the glasses (I used Rocks glasses). Drizzle with more caramel, then sprinkle cinnamon-sugar on top. Enjoy!
  • 2. * You might need another scoop of ice cream, depending on how thick you want it.

6 scoops vanilla or banana ice cream*
6 oz captain morgan spice rum
2 oz banana liqueur
3 bananas, cut in chunks
cinnamon-sugar
caramel syrup -or- caramel ice cream topping

  • In a large, deep skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Stir in sugar, rum, vanilla and cinnamon. When mixture begins to bubble, place bananas and walnuts in pan. Cook until bananas are hot, 1 to 2 minutes. Serve at once over vanilla ice cream.
