SLOW-COOKER GOLDEN CHICKEN PASTA

Slow-Cooker Golden Chicken Pasta image

Steps:

  • Turn a slow cooker to low and coat it with cooking spray.
  • Heat the oil and butter in a saute pan or skillet over medium heat. Add the mushrooms and garlic. Increase the heat, cooking them until all the liquid is evaporated and the mushrooms are browned, working in batches if necessary. Add the vegetable broth and cook until the liquid is somewhat reduced. Set aside to cool slightly.
  • Place the chicken, mushroom soup, cream cheese, dressing mix, black pepper and the mushroom mixture in the slow cooker and stir lightly to disperse the ingredients. Cover and cook all day, about 8 hours.
  • Just before serving: Cook the pasta according to the package directions.
  • Serve the chicken with the pasta and garnish with the Parmesan and parsley.

1 to 1 1/2 pounds assorted mushrooms, sliced
1 clove garlic, minced
1 cup vegetable broth
2 to 2 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cubed

16 ounces chive and onion cream cheese
Two 0.7-ounce packages dry Italian dressing
Freshly ground black pepper
1 pound of your favorite pasta
Freshly grated Parmesan, for garnish
Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

Slow-Cooker Chicken and Pasta Soup image

Steps:

  • Combine the carrots, lemon zest, dill sprigs, olive oil and 1/2 teaspoon salt in a 5-to-6-quart slow cooker. Season the chicken with salt and add to the cooker. Add the broth and 4 cups water, cover and cook on low, about 8 hours.
  • About 20 minutes before serving, add the pasta to the slow cooker, cover and cook until tender, about 15 minutes.
  • Stir the chopped dill, peas and spinach into the soup and cover until the spinach wilts, about 2 minutes. Stir to break up the chicken and season with salt and pepper. Ladle into bowls and crumble the feta on top. Serve with lemon and bread, if desired.

  • Place everything but noodles in a crock pot. (cut the chicken up if you like but not too small). Cook on low 5-6 hours.
  • Remove chicken and shred.

Steps:

  • Pour the broth into a crock pot then add the chicken & spices. Cook on high for 2.5 hours or on low for 5 hours.
  • Remove the chicken & shred, place back in the pot. Mix in the soup & cream cheese, stir until melted. Cover with the lid & continue to cook on low for 30 minutes.
  • During the last 10 minutes cook the noodles as directed on the package. Once done, drain & add to the chicken mixture. Serve hot.

3 boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 cup low sodium chicken broth
1/4 teaspoon Season-All salt
1/4 teaspoon italian seasoning
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
salt & pepper, to taste
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of chicken soup

This is my version of a recipe I have had for years. I have no idea where I got the original recipe but I have made so many changes that I re-named it. Also the serving amounts are just estimates because my family of 4 eats large portions compared to the average family. The milk or chicken broth in the recipe are optional because the soup mixture may be the desired consistency if the chicken makes enough of its own juice.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Pasta image

Steps:

  • Mix together soups, mushrooms and onion.
  • Season with salt, pepper and garlic to taste.
  • Place in slow cooker.
  • Place chicken breast on top of the soup mixture, season with salt, pepper, garlic and Tony's.
  • Cook on high for 4- 5 hours, or low for 8- 10 hours.
  • Cook noodles as directed and add to slow cooker at the last 20 minutes of cooking time.
  • At this time add the butter if using.
  • **If the mixture is thicker than you want it to be this is the time you add the milk or chicken broth to thin it to your desired consistency.

4 -6 boneless skinless chicken breasts
2 (10 3/4 ounce) cans cream of chicken soup
2 (10 3/4 ounce) cans cream of mushroom soup
8 ounces of fresh sliced mushrooms
1 onion, sliced (I like mine in chunks)
salt
pepper
garlic
tony chachere creole seasoning
8 ounces pasta noodles (any type you prefer)
1 tablespoon butter (optional)
milk or chicken broth (see **) (optional)

The easiest way to make pasta sauce...obviously you can leave out the meat or use any other meat you want. I have also used a round steak and pork chops.

  • Let it cook for 8-10 hours.
  • Stir a couple of times until you notice that the chicken is falling apart.
  • Cook Pasta.
  • Put sauce over pasta.
  • Top with Parmesan if desired.
  • Enjoy!
