Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400°. Line an 8-in. square baking pan with foil; grease foil with butter. In a large bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking soda and salt. Stir in oil and milk. Reserve 1 cup for topping. Press remaining crumb mixture onto bottom of prepared pan. Spread with mincemeat. Stir pecans into reserved crumb mixture; sprinkle over top. Bake 30-35 minutes or until topping is golden brown., Cool completely in pan on a wire rack. Cut into bars.

  • In a bowl, whisk the flour, baking soda, and cinnamon together until evenly blended; set aside. Beat the margarine, white sugar, and brown sugar with an electric mixer in a large bowl until smooth. Add the eggs one at a time, allowing each egg to blend into the margarine mixture before adding the next. Mix in the flour mixture until just incorporated. Fold in the chopped nuts; mixing just enough to evenly combine.
  • Scrape the dough onto a sheet of waxed paper, and form into a log. Roll tightly in the waxed paper, and refrigerate until firm, about 4 hours.
  • Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Spray baking sheets with cooking spray.
  • Unwrap the dough, and cut into 1/4-inch slices. Place the cookies onto baking sheets, spaced 1-inch apart. Bake in the preheated oven until the edges are golden, 8 to 10 minutes. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 1 minute before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.

  • Heat the oven to 180C/160C fan/gas 4. Beat the butter with both types of sugar and the salt. Beat in the egg, vanilla extract and mincemeat. Stir in the flour and bicarbonate of soda, then chill for 20 mins.
  • Scoop tablespoons of the mixture onto two lined baking sheets, leaving a bit of space between each so they can spread. Bake for 10-12 mins, or until the cookies are just firm around the edges but still soft in the middle - they will firm up as they cool. Transfer to a wire rack and leave to cool.

  • With electric mixer, in large mixing bowl, beat butter until creamy, then gradually add both sugars, beating well.
  • Add egg & almond extract, beating well.
  • Add mincemeat & cherries, & blend well.
  • In medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder & salt.
  • Add flour mixture to liquid mixture, beating well.
  • Stir in pecans, then cover & chill dough 2 hours.

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 375°F Line 2 cookie sheets with parchment paper.
  • For dough, whisk together flour, baking soda and salt in a medium bowl; set aside. Beat shortening and granulated sugar in a large mixer bowl on medium-high speed 2 minutes, until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Reduce speed to low and gradually add flour mixture just until combined. Stir in mincemenat until well mixed.

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Grease two 9x13 inch baking pans.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the butter, brown sugar, molasses and 1 teaspoon vanilla until well blended.
