Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- In a sturdy paper bag, mix together the flour, sage, and paprika.
- Drop the chicken pieces into the bag, one at a time, and shake to coat on all sides.
- Shake off any excess flour mixture.
- In a large frying pan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the chicken pieces and saute until golden, 3-4 minutes per side; transfer to a plate.
- Arrange the broccoli in a layer in the bottom of a baking dish.
- Cover with the chicken and top each piece with a slice of ham.
- To make the sauce, pour off the excess oil from the pan and add the cream.
- Bring to a boil over high heat and stir to scrape up any browned bits on the pan bottom.
- Add the sherry and boil for 2 minutes.
- Stir in all but 2 tablespoons of the cheese and season with salt and pepper.
- Remove from the heat.
- Pour the sauce over the ham and chicken.
- Sprinkle with the remaining 2 tablespoons cheese.
- Bake until the chicken is opaque throughout, the broccoli is tender, and the sauce is bubbling, 30-40 minutes.
- Serve directly from the dish.

- Lay chicken breasts in casserole dish.
- Place broccoli florets around the chicken breasts (around edge of dish).
- Sprinkle with salt, pepper and garlic powder.
- Mix soup and sour cream together.
- Pour over chicken and broccoli.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over casserole.
- Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top.
- Sprinkle Ritz cracker crumbs or bread crumbs on top.

- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9-by-13-by-2-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray or butter.
- Place the chicken in a large pot with water to cover. Add some salt, bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to a low simmer and cook the chicken until tender, about 45 minutes. Drain the chicken, cover, and refrigerate until cool, or up to 24 hours. Shred.
- Meanwhile, bring a medium pot of generously salted water to a boil. Add the broccoli florets, and boil until crisp-tender, 2 to 3 minutes.
- Spread the rice in an even layer in the baking dish. Make a second layer with the broccoli. In a large bowl, mix the chicken soup, the sour cream, mayonnaise, lemon juice, shredded chicken, half the Cheddar and some salt and pepper. - Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Put the flour and broth into a large saucepan and whisk until the flour is dissolved. Place the saucepan over medium heat and whisk continuously until the mixture comes to a boil; continue to whisk until the mixture is thick enough to coat the back of a spoon, 10 to 12 minutes. - Cook pasta per package. Drain & place into large mixing bowl.
- On Medium-High heat, warm up olive oil in skillet. Cut chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces. Cook 8-10 minutes or until chicken is cooked through.

- Melt 1 stick butter in a large frying pan over medium heat. Add onion and garlic and saute until onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add flour and stir quickly until it is mixed like Play-Doh®. Quickly add broth, milk, and chicken bouillon; whisk until smooth. Remove from the heat and transfer to a large bowl. Add sour cream and both cheeses; stir until well mixed.

EASY CHICKEN BROCCOLI CASSEROLE
Most of the chicken broccoli casseroles I've seen here all have mayonaisse. Ick! This recipe uses a mixture of three different soups instead for it's creamy texture. The original recipe calls for cooked chicken breasts and cooked broccoli. I don't have time to cook things before I cook them! So I've always used uncooked chicken and frozen uncooked broccoli. Seems fine to me! :) Cooking time doesn't reflect pre-cooking of the chicken or broccoli... I can't stand cheddar cheese so I substitute mozzarella because that's the only cheese I can eat. I don't like mushrooms either, so I never put them in. Feel free to experiment!
