BANANA SORBET

I eat this with chocolate cookies! I enjoy this because it is totally yummy and practically guilt-free when it is eaten by itself. This can be served with frozen cookies for a decadent treat!

  • 3-Ingredient Mango Sorbet (No-Churn!) This creamy, brilliant yellow-orange sorbet is one of my favorite mango desserts. It’s gluten and dairy-free, vegan-friendly, and uses only three ingredients: maple syrup, frozen mango, and lime juice.
  • Peach Sorbet. Peach sorbet has the same vibrant yellow-orange color as the mango sorbet above, and it, too, uses only three ingredients. You’ll need fresh, frozen, or canned peaches along with caster sugar, and lemon juice for this one.
  • Refreshing Orange Sorbet. Though you don’t need to serve this in a hollowed-out orange peel, you can’t deny it looks impressive! That said, it’ll be a hit either way.
  • Margarita Sorbet (Small Batch) Another great thing about sorbet is that you can easily turn it into a boozy treat. Yes, you read that right. This is like a yummy frozen cocktail that you eat with a spoon.
  • Homemade Blackberry Sorbet. To make this simple, pretty pink dessert, you’ll need water, sugar, salt, and fresh or frozen blackberries. Don’t worry, you’ll barely taste the salt, and the sugar accentuates – not masks – the berries.
  • 2-Ingredient Pineapple Sorbet. Because pineapples are sweet enough on their own, you won’t have to add any additional sweeteners to this two-ingredient sorbet.
  • 3-Ingredient Easy Strawberry Sorbet (Without an Ice Cream Maker!) This ruby-red strawberry sorbet is gorgeous to look at and insanely tasty. You’ll whip it up with nothing more than strawberries, raw honey, and warm water.
  • Raspberry Sorbet. Raspberry sorbet is just as beautiful as the strawberry recipe above. Plus, they both feature the same bright red color – though the raspberry sorbet has a hot pink tint.
  • Grapefruit Sorbet. I’ll be honest; grapefruit isn’t one of my favorite fruits. It’s just a touch too bitter for my sweet tooth. Even so, this grapefruit sorbet isn’t too bad.
  • Strawberry Banana Sorbet. Unlike grapefruits, which I don’t love, strawberries and bananas are my jam. They just taste so good together – like peanut butter and jelly!

  • Slice the bananas into 1/2-inch pieces and toss them with the brown sugar and butter in a 2-quart baking dish until the sugar dissolves into a wet caramel-colored coating. Bake for about 40 minutes, stirring once during baking, until the bananas are soft and golden brown.
  • Immediately transfer the bananas and caramel syrup into a blender or food processor (if you wait too long, the caramel will begin to harden). Add the milk, granulated sugar, vanilla, lemon juice and salt, and purée until smooth. Chill the mixture thoroughly in the refrigerator.
  • Give the mixture a quick whisk, then freeze in ice cream machine according to manufacturer's instructions. Transfer soft ice cream to plastic container and chill for a few hours until firm. Scoop and serve.
