A wonderful, warm, soothing way to wake up in the morning. So full of flavor, you'll be wanting more. When making this, I never measured the amount of cinnamon, nutmeg, or sugars I used so add more or use less to taste...it's up to you.

Steps:
- Melt margarine in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add diced apple and cook until apple is slightly soft (about 3 minutes.).
- Add milk, water, and salt to saucepan and bring it up to a boil.
- When the milk and water comes up to a boil, add Oats, cinnamon, nutmeg, and sugars. Stir to fully incorporate. Add more flavors to taste.
- Cook at least 5 minutes, or desired consistency. Makes two servings.

Steps:
- Place milk, water and sugar in saucepan.
- Chop apple into small, thin chunks. Add it and the dried fruit to the milk mixture.
- Heat the mixture on medium until boiling or near boiling.
- Add oats and cinnamon and cook for 3-5 minutes stirring occasionally. If desired, also add honey, brown sugar or maple syrup.
- When oatmeal is cooked, add vanilla.

APPLE CINNAMON OATMEAL CASSEROLE
Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a medium casserole dish.
- Combine the half-and-half or milk, brown sugar, butter and salt in a heavy saucepan over medium heat. Simmer until the butter is melted and the mixture is smooth. Remove from heat. Add the oats to a casserole dish and stir in the milk mixture, cinnamon, apples, apricots, pecans, raisins and cherries. Cook's Note: If the casserole seems dry, add milk to moisten.
- Top with Cinnamon Oat Nut Topping and dot with butter. Bake for 20 to 30 minutes. Remove from the oven and serve.
- Combine all ingredients in a small bowl until well combined

- Remove the core and thinly slice apples.
- Place apple slices in a large bowl and gently mix in sugar, cornstarch, and cinnamon. Set aside.
- Preheat oven to 350˚F (180˚C).
- In another bowl, combine flour, oats, brown sugar, baking soda, salt, and butter. Mix until crumbly.
- Line a 9x13-inch (23x33 cm) baking dish with parchment paper and pour ⅔ of the oats mixture in the bottom of the pan, pressing firmly to pack it down to make a crust.
- Pour apples over the crust and spread in an even layer. Pour the remaining oat mixture over the top and spread evenly.
- Bake for 30 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Cool completely before cutting.
