Steps:
- Dried Apple Slices: Preheat your oven to 150 degrees.
- Slice the unpeeled apple in very thin slices and lay in a single layer on a baking sheet sprayed lightly with vegetable oil spray and bake for 30 minutes.
- You can sprinkle a little cinnamon on top to make these cinnamon dried apples.
- Let the dried apple cool for about ten minutes before adding to the other ingredients.
- In a lidded glass jar (a Mason jar is perfect) combine all of the ingredients of the potpourri mixture, and gently combine with a wooden spoon.
- Cover tightly.
- This mixture will keep for months.
- To use, place about a tablespoon into 2 cups of boiling water.
- Turn down the heat and let the mixture simmer gently to release all of the wonderful apple pie scent!

- Shake every few days.
- Cinnamon oil has an extremely strong scent that intensifies as it is absorbed. Add additional oil if needed.

APPLE CINNAMON CROCK POT POTPOURRI
After reading many different crock pot potpourri recipes I came up with this one, and my house smells wonderful! :) If you don't have a small crock pot, just use a sauce pan and simmer on your stove. These are fun to throw together because you can use what ever you want to create the scent you want and you can't really mess up. I used the spices sold in the cellophane bag, they are very inexpensive and are usually in the Hispanic section of the grocery store.

- Into a small crock pot, place apple peels, cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg.
- Pour water over all.
- Set on low heat for the entire day, checking the water level periodically to prevent burning.
- You can even enjoy it for one more day if you like. Just place the cooled mixture into a container, refrigerate and reheat another day (which is what I do often).

KITCHEN POTPOURRI
This potpourri uses things found in your spice cupboard and fruit drawer. I put approximate amounts of everything... please use your own judgement for exact measurements. I never measure anything.. I just use up what I have. You can use any combination.. be creative!

Steps:
- Dry apple, orange, lime, and lemon slices.
- I put them on a cookie cooling rack, then on a baking sheet and place in oven. Bake at 170 F for about 5-7 hours, until apples are still pliable but not mushy, and there is no liquid left in citrus fruit.
- Dry cranberries by covering a baking sheet with parchment paper and putting cranberries in single layer.
- Dry @ 170°F These take about 8 hours.
- As fruit is done, take out and place in a large bowl.
- Add all the spices.
- Toss with vanilla extract and allow to dry overnight.
- Place in container or bags to give away.
