Steps:

  • For the beef: Heat the olive oil in a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Sprinkle the sirloin cubes with 1 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon pepper. In batches if necessary, sear the meat on all sides and cook until medium rare, 2 to 3 minutes. Drain on paper towels and set aside to cool.
  • Meanwhile, make the dipping sauce: In a bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, lime zest and juice, vinegar, sesame oil, sugar, red pepper flakes and some salt and pepper.
  • Thread the beef onto toothpicks (2 pieces per). Garnish with cilantro and serve with the dipping sauce.

  • In a small bowl, mix together hoisin sauce, sherry, soy sauce, barbeque sauce, green onions, garlic, and ginger.
  • Cut flank steak across grain on a diagonal into 1/4 inch slices. Place slices in a 1 gallon resealable plastic bag. Pour hoisin sauce mixture over slices, and mix well. Refrigerate 2 hours, or overnight.
  • Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat. Discard marinade, and thread steak on skewers.
  • Oil the grill grate. Grill skewers 3 minutes per side, or to desired doneness.

Grilled Asian Beef Kebabs over Rice image

Steps:

  • Coat an outdoor grill or stove-top grill pan with cooking spray and preheat to medium-high.
  • Skewer steak and zucchini on separate skewers. Set aside. In a small bowl, whisk together black bean sauce, rice wine vinegar, and sesame oil. Brush mixture all over beef and zucchini. Place skewers on hot grill. Grill skewers for 5 minutes, turning once during cooking. Sprinkle sesame seeds all over skewers and grill 2 more minutes, until steak is cooked through and seeds are golden brown.
  • Meanwhile, cook rice according to package directions, adding bell pepper at the beginning of cooking time. Season rice, to taste, with salt and black pepper. Serve half of the beef skewers and all of the zucchini skewers over rice. Save remaining beef skewers for another meal.

  • Heat broiler, with rack set 4 inches from heat; line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil. Soak four 12-inch (or eight 6-inch) wooden skewers in a pan of warm water; set aside. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  • Meanwhile, make sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together honey, brown sugar, soy sauce, 2 tablespoons vinegar, curry paste, and 1 tablespoon oil. Reserve half the sauce for serving.
  • Thread beef, onion, and pineapple onto skewers. Place on prepared baking sheet, and brush with sauce. Broil, brushing occasionally with sauce, until beef is medium-rare and onion begins to char, 7 to 10 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, cook noodles in boiling salted water, according to package instructions. Drain, and place in a medium bowl. Add cilantro and remaining vinegar and oil; season with salt, and toss to combine. Serve skewers with noodles, reserved sauce, and, if desired, red-pepper flakes.

  • In a large bowl, mix garlic, ginger, soy sauce, vinegar, oil and sugar. Remove the fat from the steak and cut the meat in dices of 1 inch. Add beef to the marinade and let rest for 10 minutes.
  • On metal skewers or presoaked bamboo skewers, thread beef cubes by alternating with green onion. Set the barbecue to medium high. Brush the beef skewers with the marinade and put on a oiled grill of the barbecue.   • Preheat a grill. If you are using wooden skewers, soak in water 30 minutes.
  • In a gallon size sealable plastic bag, combine all of the ingredients, including the beef. Seal the bag, squeezing out the air. Marinate 15 minutes.

  • Cut beef widthwise into 16 slices, 1/4 in. thick. In a large resealable plastic bag, combine the soy sauce, sugar and ginger; add beef. Seal bag and turn to coat; refrigerate for 4 hours., In a large saucepan, bring water and carrots to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 3 minutes. Add the beans and red pepper; cover and simmer for 3-5 minutes or until vegetables are crisp-tender. Drain and immediately place vegetables in ice water. Drain and pat dry., Drain and discard marinade from beef. Arrange three beans, one carrot strip and one pepper strip down the center of each beef slice; roll up.
