Steps:

  • Preheat grill for high heat.
  • In a large bowl, mix together ground beef, onion, raisins, and parsley. Season with cayenne pepper, cinnamon, coriander, nutmeg, sugar, salt, and pepper, and mix well. Form into 6 flat sausages around skewers. Lightly brush sausages with oil; this prevents sticking to the grill.
  • Arrange skewers on hot grill grate. Cook for approximately 15 minutes, turning occasionally to brown evenly, until well done.

This is Day 10: Lunch on the 21 Day Wonder diet. If you are taking this salad to work, hold the lemon juice until you are ready to eat. Otherwise, eat it while the beef is still warm. This lunch is to be followed by an afternoon snack of 1 small pear.

Beef, Mint & Cucumber Salad (21 Day Wonder Diet: Day 10) image

Steps:

  • Spray beef with cooking oil. Cook beef in heated small frying pan; remove from heat. Cover; stand 5 minutes.
  • Slice beef thinly; combine with remaining ingredients in medium bowl.

Peppered Beef & Kumara Wedges (21 Day Wonder Diet:day 14) image

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 200°C.
  • Roast Kumara on oven tray,uncovered, about 25 minutes. Boil, steam or microwave broccolini until tender.
  • Meanwhile, spray beef with cooking oil; cook beef in heated frying pan. Remove from heat; cover with foil.
  • Add peppercorns, buttermilk and stock to and stock to pan; heat without boiling.
  • Serve vegetables topped with beef, then drizzled with peppercorn sauce.

This is one of my favourite breakfasts! You can use any canned white bean you like (my favourites to use are butter beans or cannelini beans). This breakfast is to be followed by a mid-morning snack of 2 kiwifruit.

Steps:

  • Cook onion, garlic, and bacon in heated medium saucepan until onion softens. Add undrained tomatoes, paste, and mustard;cook, stirring, until hot. Add beans. Cook, stirring, until hot. Stir in parsley.
  • Serve bean mixture with toast.

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 180°C.
  • Remove crusts from bread, cut bread into small squares. Place on oven tray; toast about 5 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, cook prosciutto in medium heated frying pan until crisp. Chop coarsely.
  • Combine yogurt, juice, anchovy and mustard in medium bowl. Add lettuce; toss to combine.
  • Serve lettuce mixture topped with toast, prosciutto and egg.
