Steps:

  • Blend margarine, sugar, and flour with pastry blender or fork in bowl until coarse crumbs form (like pie crust).
  • Add coconut.
  • Mix.
  • Place half of crumb mixture in 8" square pan.
  • Put filling on top.
  • Sprinkle with remaining crumbs.
  • Bake at 400 for 30 minutes.
  • Serve with whipped topping or ice cream.
  • Great served warm or cold.

1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups flour
1 3/4 cups coconut
1 (20 ounce) can cherry pie filling

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, mix cracker crumbs, marshmallows, coconut and cherries; stir in condensed milk and flavoring. Press into a greased 8-in. square baking pan., For frosting, in a small saucepan, combine brown sugar, butter and milk. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly; cook and stir 3 minutes. Transfer to a small bowl; cool until lukewarm, about 15 minutes. Stir in confectioners' sugar until smooth. Spread over crumb mixture; refrigerate until set, about 1-1/2 hours., Cut into bars. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Steps:

  • Place the egg in a one-cup measuring cup. Fill to the one-cup mark with milk.
  • Mix all ingredients, including the egg and milk mixture, together in a large bowl.
  • Smooth batter into an 8" x 8" square baking pan lined with parchment paper.
  • Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes.
  • Cool slightly. Cut into squares. Yield will depend on the size you cut the squares.
