CHOCOLATE FUDGE OREO CAKE

This is such a decadent chocolate cake. Sour cream makes it very moist. The cream cheese Oreo filling is so delicious, make sure not to taste too much of it so there's some for the cake (it's that good). Drizzling fudge over the cake takes this over the top. Chocolate Fudge Oreo Cake image

Steps:

  • 1. Mix cake mix, sour cream, milk, oil, and eggs together on low for 1 minute. After 1 minute, scrape down sides and mix batter an additional 2 minutes.
  • 2. Divide batter between the two 9 inch pans. Bake 25-30 minutes at 350 degrees.
  • 3. Remove cakes and place them on a cooling rack to completely cool.
  • 4. Beat whipping cream until stiff peaks form.
  • 5. Beat sugar and cream cheese together until smooth.
  • 6. Fold whipping cream and Oreo's into cream cheese mixture.
  • 7. Reserve 1 cup of the whipping cream mixture to use on top of the cake.
  • 8. To assemble the cake, place one cake on a tray. Top with remaining whipped cream. Then add the second cake. Frost cake with the cup of reserved whipped cream. You can either frost the entire cake or just frost the top of the cake with the whipped cream. Warm-up some hot fudge sauce and drizzle around the edges of the cake. Crush more Oreo's and place them on top of the cake. Take the Oreo halves and place them around the edge as decorations.

1/4 c vegetable oil
1 c sour cream
3 large eggs
1/2 c mik
WHIPPING CREAM OREO FILLING
1 pkg cream cheese, softened, 8 oz.
1/2 c sugar
2 c heavy wipping cream
12 coarsley chopped Oreo's
CAKE TOPPING
1 c of previous whipping cream filling
8 coarsely chopped Oreo's
1 jar(s) hot fudge sauce, warmed
10 Oreo's cut in half

Steps:

  • Line a 13x9-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  • Bring sugar, butter, and evaporated milk to a boil in a heavy-bottomed saucepan, stirring constantly; cook and stir at a boil until mixture is smooth, 3 to 5 minutes. Remove saucepan from heat; stir white chocolate chips and marshmallow creme into the sugar mixture until completely melted. Add vanilla extract; stir.
  • Gently fold 1/2 cup crumbled cookies into the white chocolate mixture until just incorporated; spread into the prepared pan. Sprinkle 1 cup crushed cookies evenly over the top. Press cookies lightly into the fudge. Cool at room temperature until set. Cut into small squares to serve.

  • Stir until mostly smooth with just a few flecks of unmelted chocolate. Add the extract and stir to combine. Stir the Oreos into the chocolate mixture, saving a few for topping. Press the remaining Oreos into the fudge.
