Steps:

  • In a large saucepan, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Stir in the ketchup, oregano, chili powder, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 10 minutes. , In a large bowl, combine the lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, olives and beef mixture. Combine mayonnaise and taco sauce; pour over salad and toss to coat. Sprinkle with corn chips. Serve immediately.

Steps:

  • In 10-inch skillet, cook beef and taco seasoning mix as directed on seasoning mix package. Set aside to cool. In large bowl, gently mix lettuce, tomatoes, olives, onions and cheese. Add beef mixture; stir gently to mix. Just before serving, add dressing and chips; toss. Eat it all up! This salad does not keep in the refrigerator. Make sure to toss immediately before serving. This salad can be customized to your family's favorite taco ingredients.

1 pound lean ground beef
1 package taco seasoning mix
1 head iceberg lettuce, broken into small pieces
2 medium tomatoes, chopped
1/2 cup sliced ripe olives
4 medium green onions, sliced, about 1/4 cup

  • Preheat oven to 400°. In a large skillet, cook beef over medium heat 10-12 minutes or until no longer pink, breaking into crumbles; drain. Add taco seasoning and prepare according to package directions. Spoon meat into a greased 13x9-in. baking dish., In a large bowl, beat eggs and milk. Stir in biscuit mix and pepper. Pour over meat.
