- Combine lime zest and 2 tablespoons sugar in a food processor. Pulse until combined. Set aside.
- Place lime juice, strawberries, rum, 2 to 4 tablespoons sugar, depending on the sweetness of your strawberries, and ice cubes in a blender. Blend until smooth.
- Rub the rims of four glasses with a lime wedge, dip rims in lime sugar, and fill glasses with daiquiri.

- Place the ice cubes, strawberries, light rum, balsamic vinegar and basil leaves in the pitcher of a blender and blend until smooth and slushy. Pour into a tall glass and garnish with a small basil sprig.
- Cook's Note: If your strawberries aren't very sweet, add up to 1/2 teaspoon superfine sugar.

- Measure the 8 cups of frozen strawberries (or peaches or whatever) into a LARGE blender pitcher. (If you don't have a huge blender, just halve the recipe - you'll just be making it more often is all!).
- Pour in the rest of the ingredients.
