JALAPENO POPPER SPREAD

This will definitely be the biggest hit at the party! This is such an easy appetizer to make and it tastes just like the jalapeno poppers you wish you could make yourself! The hardest part of this recipe is not eating it all by yourself! Serve with sliced sourdough baguettes, tortilla chips or crackers.

Steps:

  • Stir together cream cheese and mayonnaise in a large bowl until smooth. Stir in green chiles and jalapeno peppers. Pour mixture into a microwave safe serving dish, and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Cook and stir bacon in a large skillet over medium-high heat until crisp, about 10 minutes. Remove bacon with a slotted spoon to a plate lined with paper towels to drain.
  • Stir bacon, cream cheese, mayonnaise, Cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, green onion, and jalapeno peppers together in a bowl; spread into a 9-inch round baking dish.

Steps:

  • For the dip: Bake or slow cook.
  • To bake, preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. In a large bowl, mix the cream cheese, sour cream, shredded cheese, seasoning mix and jalapenos. Pour into an 8-inch square dish and bake until bubbly, about 20 minutes.
  • To slow cook: Turn a 6-quart slow cooker to high and add the cream cheese, sour cream, shredded cheese, seasoning mix and jalapenos. Stir, cover and cook until everything melts, 2 to 3 hours. Stir again.

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Set aside 1/4 cup of the pickled jalapenos. Chop the remaining pickled jalapenos and place in a mixing bowl. Add the cream cheese, chicken, cheese, sour cream, garlic, salt and hot sauce. I have doubled,and tripled this recipe and never have enough.I only made three change's for our taste .I used 1 (4oz ) can mild green chiles diced, and 1 jar ( 11.5oz ) hot jalapeno nacho slices and 1 fresh jalapeno with the seeds.We like it Kicked Up !!
