FESTIVE JELL-O POPCORN BALLS
These popcorn balls can be any color or combination of flavors and colors--and they're fun to make.

Steps:
- Microwave butter and marshmallows in large microwaveable bowl on HIGH 1-1/2 to 2 min. or until marshmallows are puffed. Stir in gelatin mix until well blended.
- Add to popcorn in large bowl; toss to coat.
- Shape into 16 balls with greased or moistened hands.

Popcorn balls are staples around the Hill households. Not totally sure how many this makes because they are being eaten before we can count.

Steps:
- Combine all ingredients, bring to a boil, stirring constantly for 5 minutes.
- Pour over 4 gallons of popcorn.
- Stir to make sure all the popcorn is covered.
- When cooled enough to handle form into balls.
- Note: 16 cups=1 gallon 64 cups=4 gallons.

- Mix all ingredients except popcorn in a heavy sauce pan.
- Bring to a boil and cook just until jello and sugar are dissolved.
- Pour over popcorn and mix well.
- Wet your hands under cold water, shake water off or butter hands slightly and work quickly to form popcorn balls.
- Place the finished balls on wax paper and once cooled wrap them more wax paper.
- You can make these as big or as small as you like.

JELLO POPCORN BALLS
My dad's aunt would make these for Christmas every year for him and mail them....now it's my job! If you over cook they will be hard as a rock so be careful.

- Mix all ingredients except popcorn in a heavy sauce pan.
- Bring to a boil and cook just till jello and sugar are dissolved.
- Pour over popcorn and mix well and fast.
- Wet your hands under cold water, shake it off don't dry it and work quickly forming popcorn balls.
- As you make them , wrap them in squares of wax paper.
- Re-wet your hands in between forming.
- The amount you get will depend on how big you make them -- cook time is left blank because it will vary.

- Add Jello and stir until dissolved.
- Pour over popped corn.
- With buttered hands, mix and form into balls.

- Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar with a mixer -add in egg and vanilla.In a separate bowl whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda and cream of tarter.Gradually add flour mixture to the wet ingredients in the mixer.Divide the dough into four sections.Sprinkle two Tablespoons of jello onto each section and then knead the dough until combined. You can add a few drops of food coloring in, if you'd like the color to be more vibrant.Roll dough into 1-inch balls. - In a mixer, combine the softened cream cheese with the powdered sugar. Scrape the sides of the mixing bowl and mix until fully combined (and not sticky!). Add more powdered sugar if it's a really hot day and the cream cheese is being temperamental and melting. Separate the mixture into 4 small bowls. Add 1 tablespoon of various powdered Jello to each bowl and mix with a spoon. Pull off small 1/2 inch pieces of the mixture and roll them into balls. Press the balls into a slightly flat shape (seen in the photos below) and then roll it into a bowl of sugar. Store in an airtight container and refrigerate in until ready to eat.
