CHOCOLATE PEANUT CLUSTERS
There are a few recipes I absolutely have to pull out every Christmas, and this is one of them. The chocolate covered peanuts are so tasty.

- In a heavy saucepan over low heat, cook and stir candy coating and chips until melted and smooth. Cool for 10 minutes; stir in peanuts., Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto waxed paper-lined baking sheets. Refrigerate until firm, about 45 minutes.

- In 4-quart saucepan, melt candy coating over medium heat, stirring frequently. Stir in peanut butter until mixture is smooth. Add remaining ingredients, stirring until completely coated.
- Drop mixture by heaping teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper or cookie sheet; sprinkle with colored sugar. Let stand until firm, about 1 hour. Store in airtight container at room temperature.

- Place chocolate chips, and shortening in a small microwavable bowl.
- Microwave on medium power for 1 minute, stir.
- If necessary, microwave at medium and additional 15 seconds at a time, stirring after each heating until chips are melted and mixture is smooth when stirred.
- Stir in peanuts.
- Drop by teaspoons into 1 inch diameter candy.
- refrigerate until firm, about 30 minutes.
- Store into tightly covered container in refrigerator.24.
