- In a punch bowl, dissolve sugar in water. Add juices and lemonade; mix well. Stir in ginger ale. If desired, top with a decorative ice mold and lemon slices. Serve immediately.

This is just the kind of recipe found in a Junior League or church cookbook. It is greatly improved upon by using fresh juices and sorbet instead of canned juice and sherbet. But, one can also use the old canned standby.

- Stir together the cranberry juice, pineapple juice, and ginger ale in a large pitcher. Chill in the refrigerator until serving time.
- To serve, place a scoop of sorbet into a glass and fill with punch.

- Pour 4 cups lemonade into ice cube trays; freeze until set., If desired, moisten the rims of 18 martini glasses with water. Sprinkle sugar on a plate; dip rims in sugar. Set glasses aside. Transfer ice cubes to a punch bowl; add the vodka, strawberries and remaining lemonade. Slowly stir in soda. Serve immediately in prepared glasses.

- This removes the koolaidy taste when punch is all made up..
- All fruit juices and koolaid are to be mixed together 4 hours before serving.
