Steps:
- Heat oven to 250°F. In broiler pan, mix popcorn, sesame sticks and nuts.
- In small bowl, mix butter, soy sauce, lime juice, oil and gingerroot. Pour over popcorn mixture; toss to coat.
- Bake uncovered 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes, until dry and crisp. Spread on paper towels to cool. Add green peas. Store tightly covered at room temperature.

SPICY ASIAN SESAME PEANUTS WITH POPCORN
This spicy, salty, crunchy blend of chilies, peanuts and popcorn is one addictive snack.

- For the Asian sesame spice blend: Mix together the sesame seeds, sesame oil, soy sauce, ginger, five-spice powder, red pepper flakes and 1 1/2 teaspoons salt in a small bowl and set aside.
- For the nuts: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly oil a rimmed baking sheet with the oil.
- Put the egg white in a large bowl and whisk until frothy. Add the peanuts and toss to coat in the egg white. Add the spice blend and toss to coat.
- Spread the nut mixture evenly on the prepared baking sheet and bake, stirring occasionally, until golden brown, 15 to 20 minutes. Let cool on the baking sheet.
- For the assembly: Stir the popcorn and chilies into the peanuts and transfer to a large bowl.

my most requested recipe! I take it to parties and potlucks, and I have to make it in such quantity that I bring it in paper grocery bag! Simple, easy, healthy, and economical.

- Toast sesame seeds in a skillet on the stove until just golden. Crush them up with the salt in a mortar and pestle. This is an important step to get the seeds to release their yummy flavor and smell. If you don't have one of those, improvise, I used to use a coffee cup and the end of my whisk!
- Put oil in a heavy cookpot that has a lid and place on the stove on high.
- Add popcorn and put the lid on. Stay close by!
- When popping slows to about a second in between pops, dump the popcorn into a large bowl.
- Sprinkle with crushed sesame seeds and salt, pepper, and onion powder. Toss, and enjoy! Add more of the seasonings to your taste, other options are chili powder, garlic, curry.

- Preheat oven to 300 degree F. Remove all unpopped kernels from popped popcorn. Put popcorn and cashews in a greased 17x12x2-inch baking or roasting pan.
- In a medium saucepan combine brown sugar, butter, corn syrup, ginger, and sesame oil. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture boils. Continue boiling at a moderate rate, without stirring, for 5 minutes more.
- Remove pan from heat. Stir in sesame seed, vanilla, and baking soda. Pour mixture over popcorn mixture. Stir gently to coat. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown, stirring twice. Spread popcorn mixture on a large piece of buttered foil to cool. Store tightly covered. Makes 8-1/2 cups.
