Sloppy Joe Sliders Recipe by Tasty image

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, add the ground beef and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Using a spoon, break up the meat and stir until browned.
  • Add the onion and garlic and continue to cook until the onions are translucent.
  • Add the ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire, and brown sugar.
  • Stir until the meat is fully cooked and sauce is evenly combined. Set aside.
  • Cut the dinner rolls in half and place the bottom half in a baking pan.
  • Top with meat and sprinkle with cheese. Place the top of the rolls back on top.
  • Brush the rolls with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  • Bake for 10 minutes, or until rolls are toasted and cheese is melted.
  • Cut into individual sliders.
  • Enjoy!

  • Preheat oven to 350°. Without separating rolls, cut rolls in half horizontally; arrange bottom halves in a greased 13x9-in. baking pan. Top with half of cheese slices; set aside., In a large skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat until beef is no longer pink and onion is tender, 6-8 minutes, break up beef into crumbles; drain. Stir in sloppy joe sauce, brown sugar, soy sauce and pepper. Cook and stir until combined, 1-2 minutes. Spoon beef mixture evenly over rolls; top with remaining cheese. Replace top halves of rolls. , For glaze, stir together butter, brown sugar, mustard, soy sauce and garlic powder. Brush over rolls; sprinkle with sesame seeds and minced onion. Bake, uncovered, until tops are golden and cheese is melted, 15-20 minutes. If desired, top with pickle slices., Freeze option: Cover and freeze unbaked sandwiches; prepare and freeze glaze. To use, partially thaw in refrigerator overnight. Remove from refrigerator 30 minutes before baking. Preheat oven to 350°. Pour glaze over buns and sprinkle with sesame seeds and minced onion. Steps:

  • Heat oil in a large pot. Saute onions 3 minutes until tender.
  • Add ground beef to pot. Cook until brown, stirring to separate meat. Drain well.
  • Stir in BBQ sauce (or Ketchup), mustard and Worcestershire.
  • Simmer about 5 minutes until flavors are blended.
  • Spoon onto slider rolls.

  • Heat the oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef, and cook, stirring frequently, until the beef begins to brown, about 4 minutes. Stir in the chili powder and 1 teaspoon salt, and continue cooking until the meat is cooked through, 2 minutes more. Drain off any excess liquid, and add back 2 tablespoons of it. Reduce the heat to low, stir in the ketchup, sugar, vinegar and 1/2 cup water and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the sauce is slightly thickened, about 8 minutes. Stir in the carrots and corn, and cook, partially covered, until the vegetables are tender and heated through, 5 minutes.
  • Scoop some sauce onto 1 half of each slider bun, top with a handful of shredded cabbage and a pickle chip and serve.

Steps:

  • Heat olive oil in a wide, heavy skillet. Add the onions, 1/8 tsp salt and a few grinds of pepper. Cook, stirring often, over medium-heigh heat, until onions are browned and sticky/crispy, about 15 minutes. Remove pan from heat.
  • Meanwhile, in a second wide, heavy skillet, melt butter. Add all the mushrooms, garlic, 1/8 tsp salt and a few grinds pepper. Cook over medium-high heat, stirring frequently, until mushrooms are richly browned, about 15 minutes.
  • Increase heat to high, pour in cognac and cook until liquid disappears, 1 minutes. Remove pan from heat.
  • Split buns; lay them open-faced on a broiler rack. Cover both halves with cheese. Slide under the broiler just until cheese has melted, 1 to 2 minutes. Set buns on serving platter.
  • Heap mushrooms onto each bottom bun. Top with onions. Cover with top bun. Enjoy.
