SLOW COOKER PEACH PORK CHOPS

I needed a new way to cook pork. I was tired of Shak-n-Bakin. So, out with my trusty slow cooker book again and this is a really good one!

Slow Cooker Peach Pork Chops image

Steps:

  • 1. In a skillet, brown pork chops in oil; drain. Transfer to greased crock-pot.
  • 2. Drain peaches, reserving juice. In a bowl, combine the tomato sauce, water, soy sauce, rosemary, thyme, basil, cayenne and reserved peach juice; pour over pork. Top with peaches.
  • 3. Cover and cook on low for 5 hours or until pork is tender.

4 boneless pork chops (about 1 inch thick)
1 tablespoon canola oil
2 cans sliced peaches (i used one can with juice and on in heavy syrup)
1 (15oz) can tomato sauce
1/2 cup water
2 teaspoons soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon dried rosemary, crushed
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
1/4 teaspoon dried basil
dash of cayenne pepper

Steps:

  • Place browned pork chops in crock pot; season with salt and pepper.
  • Place peaches on top of pork chops.
  • Mix brown sugar, cinnamon, tomato sauce, syrup and vinegar.
  • Pour over pork chops and peaches.
  • Cook on low for 4-6 hours.

Steps:

  • Drain peaches, reserving 1/4 cup juice (discard remaining juice or save for another use); set fruit and juice aside. In a large skillet, brown pork chops on both sides in oil; transfer to a 3-qt. slow cooker. Sprinkle with salt and pepper., In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, cinnamon and cloves. Add the tomato sauce, vinegar and reserved peach juice. Pour over the chops. Arrange peach halves over the top. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the meat is tender.

  • Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Trim all visible fat from chops and season with salt and pepper to taste. Brown chops in vegetable oil.
  • Combine reserved peach syrup, brown sugar and ginger. Pour over chops and bring to a boil. Add peaches and cook, uncovered for 15 to 20 minutes or until liquid is reduced to half and thick. Turn chops occasionally to insure even cooking. Serve!

Steps:

  • Spread about half the onion slices into the bottom of the slow cooker. Arrange 5 pork chops atop the onion layer. Repeat layering with remaining onion and pork chops.
  • Pour cream of onion soup, cream of mushroom soup, and water over the pork chops and onion. Sprinkle ranch dressing mix and onion soup mix over the pork chops; season with salt and pepper.
