STEAK MARINADE, QUICK AND EASY

This turns an average grocerty store bought steak into a good restaurant tasting steak. It takes only minutes to prepare and marinade can be for 30 minutes to overnight. Ooh, so good!

Steak Marinade, Quick and Easy image

Steps:

  • Mix it all together and marinade steak for 30 minutes to overnight.
  • Garlic will be stronger the longer you marinade.
  • Don't be afraid of the garlic it makes the steak taste wonderful!
  • Either grill the steaks or pan fry them in butter.
  • Either way they're great!
  • I do both; I grill them til they're almost done then finish the cooking by pan frying.
  • This turns an average grocery store steak into a delicious good restaurant tasting steak.

MARINADE FOR STEAK

Several years ago I experimented with making steak marinades. I have a few recipes I came up with that seem to be old time favorites! We love steak on the grill, but ever since I made my marinade my husband prefers his steak made this way or not at all! Besides Marinades. I also luv to Rub my steaks. then place them in a marinade sauce before grilling! OH and one last thing -- STEAK Sauce -- what's that -- haha! These steaks require no steak sauce or at least that is what my husband says! NOTE -- the cook time is Marinade time.

My Own Steak Marinade image

Steps:

  • Mix above ingredients well.
  • Pour over meat and marinade anywhere from 2 hours - to even 12 hours.
  • I really like this marinade over Sirloins and Filets.
  • Any Marinade that is left over can be stored in fridge for next time.
  • I like to make a double batch and always have the marinade on hand.
  • After the steaks have marinated, Place steaks on grill - you can baste the steaks with the marinade while they cook - but DO NOT - re-use - the used marinade.

1/2 cup lemon juice

1 tablespoon minced dried onion
1 teaspoon minced dried garlic

I don't know where I picked this up. I've been doing it since I first started cooking, and it's just a great flavor for steaks. I'd suggest at least a nights worth of soaking if you have the time to. The main flavor in this marinade is the Italian mixed with the Worcestershire.

  • This recipe is best if you beat the steaks and stab it a few times with a fork so the juice can soak into the meat.
  • Mix Italian dressing and Worcestershire sauce. This is the main thing--if you would like to add more or less of either, just make sure the Worcestershire isn't overpowering the Italian dressing.
  • Add minced onion, garlic powder, seasoned salt and pepper to tastes. I usually use at least a shake or two from each bottle, a little lighter on the salt and pepper then the other two, but its not a science in the recipe, just go with your tastes.
  • Marinate!
