BEEF TACO BAKE

Perfect for buffets, parties or weeknight dinners, this 40-minute casserole features seasoned ground beef, tortilla pieces, picante sauce and lots of Cheddar cheese.

Steps:

  • Cook the beef in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat until well browned, stirring often. Pour off any fat.
  • Stir the soup, salsa, milk, tortillas and half the cheese in the skillet. Spoon the beef mixture into a 2-quart shallow baking dish. Cover the baking dish.
  • Bake at 400 degrees F for 30 minutes or until the beef mixture is hot and bubbling. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese.
  • Cost per recipe: $8.14

1 pound ground beef
1 can (10 3/4 ounces) Campbell's® Condensed Tomato Soup
1 cup Pace® Chunky Salsa OR Pace® Picante Sauce
1/2 cup milk
6 flour tortillas (8-inch) OR 8 corn tortillas (6-inch), cut into 1-inch pieces
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (about 4 ounces)

Steps:

  • 1. Heat oven to 425. In skillet, brown hamburger over med. high heat 5 to 7 min. stirring occasionally until done, drain. Stir in seasoning mix, salsa into beef. Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally. Pour into ungreased 8 inch square pan. Meanwhile, in med. bowl, stir bisquick mix, cheese and milk until soft dough forms. Drop dough by 12 spoonfuls onto beef mixture. Bake uncovered 20 to 25 min.

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Spray a 9x13-inch baking pan with cooking spray.
  • Cook ground beef and onions in a skillet over medium heat until beef is browned, 7 to 10 minutes; drain grease. Stir in water and taco seasoning; cook, stirring often, until thickened, about 2 minutes. Add refried beans, salsa, olives, and green chiles. Cook and stir over low heat until ingredients are warmed through, 3 to 4 minutes.
  • Place half of the taco shells in the bottom of the baking dish. Pour in half of the ground beef mixture; sprinkle with half of the Cheddar cheese. Repeat with remaining taco shells, ground beef mixture, and Cheddar cheese.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until cheese is melted and bubbly, 20 to 25 minutes.
