Steps:

  • Add liqueurs to a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a 10-ounce rocks glass over ice. Top with heavy cream and serve with a short straw.

3/4-ounce coffee liqueur (recommended: Kahlua)

Toasted Almond and Caramelized Onion Quiche image

Steps:

  • Saute the onion in the butter until caramelized.
  • In a small bowl, beat together the eggs, both milks, flour and pepper until lightly frothy.
  • Stir in the cooked onion, cheese and toasted sliced almonds until well mixed.
  • Pour the mixture into a still hot baked pie shell.
  • Bake at 325°F for about 45 minutes.
  • When done, a knife inserted in the middle will come out clean.
  • Let stand for 10 minutes, slice and serve.

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and milk until smooth. Stir in cheeses, almonds, tomato and pepper; spread over bread slices., Place on ungreased baking sheets. Bake until cheese is melted, 10-12 minutes. If desired, top with chopped fresh chives.

Almond French Toast image

Steps:

  • Place almonds in a small saucepan over low heat. Tossing frequently, toast until lightly browned, 5 to 10 minutes. Remove from heat, and set aside.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, flour, salt, baking powder, almond extract and vanilla extract. Soak bread slices in the mixture until saturated. Place slices in a shallow pan. Refrigerate slices approximately 1 hour.
  • Heat canola oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat. One at a time, press one side of soaked bread slices in the almonds to coat. Fry bread slices on both sides until golden brown. Dust with confectioner's sugar before serving,

  • Roll your pie dough into a 12-inch diameter circle. Place into your pie dish and gently press it in place. Crimp the edges with your fingers. Chill the pie crust for at least 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Line your crust with parchment paper and fill with pie weights. Bake the chilled crust for 15 minutes – the edges should be just starting to brown. After crust is done, lower oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Meanwhile, start your filling. First, in a large skillet cook the pancetta over medium until lightly browned About 3 minutes. Remove from skillet.
  • To same skillet, add the butter and onion. Caramelize over medium heat until well softened and golden. About 15-20 minutes. Add spinach to cooked onions. Toss together until spinach is wilted. Remove from heat and add back in pancetta.
  • In a large bowl with a hand mixer or a whisk, mix the eggs, half and half, pepper, and salt until well combined.
