  • Spread 1 slice of bread with butter and vegemite.
  • Place the slices of cucumber on top.
  • Put the other slice of bread on top of that, push down lightly.
  • Cut into halves or quarters (if desired).

Steps:

  • Spread one side of each slice of bread with a thin layer of butter. Arrange a single layer of cucumber slices on 4 of the bread slices. Stir together the mayonnaise, chives, mustard and some salt and pepper in a small bowl. Spread a thin layer of the mayonnaise mixture over the cucumbers. Top with the remaining slices of buttered bread. Cut off the crusts and cut each sandwich into three fingers.

  • Spread one slice of wholemeal bread with a little butter.
  • Top with tomato and ham.
  • Spread the white bread on one side with a little butter and the Vegemite then place vegemite side down over the ham.
  • Top the white bread with the lettuce.
  • Spread the remaining wholemeal slice with cream chees and place spread side down over the lettuce.
