- In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and mayonnaise until smooth. Stir in the cheeses, garlic powder and seasoned salt. Spread 5 slices of bread with the cheese mixture, about 1/3 cup on each. Top with remaining bread. , Butter the outsides of sandwiches. In a skillet over medium heat, toast sandwiches for 4-5 minutes on each side or until bread is lightly browned and cheese is melted.

ZIPPY GRILLED CHEESE & BACON SANDWICH
The Miracle Whip adds a little zip to a golden sandwich. It replaces the butter of the usual grilled cheese. Recipe is from Kraft.

Steps:
- Spread the outsides of both slices of bread with the Miracle Whip dressing.
- Add the cheese and the bacon to the inside of one slice of bread.
- Top with the other slice of bread.
- Grill sandwich in nonstick skillet over medium heat for about 2-5 minutes, until the sandwich is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
CRISPY GRILLED CHEESE

- Heat a nonstick or cast-iron skillet over medium-low heat.
- Spread one side of each piece of bread with a small amount of softened butter. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of the Parmesan on each slice so it sticks to the butter. Turn one piece over and sprinkle the mixed cheese on top (this will be the filling). Place the other piece of bread on top, with the Parmesan side facing up.
- Carefully transfer the sandwich to the skillet and cook on both sides until the middle filling is melted and gooey. Watch carefully so the surface doesn't burn; it should be a nice deep golden brown. Slice in half and dig in!
ZIPPY GRILLED CHEESE
Steps:
- Butter one side of one slice of bread and put down on a skillet over medium heat. On top of that, add the cheese and turkey. Place the last piece of bread on top smeared with Miracle Whip. Sprinkle the Miracle Whip side with rosemary and cook each side until browned.

GRILLED CHEESE, DINER STYLE
The mayonnaise in place of the butter makes the bread toast evenly and gives a similar yet different crispiness. This is how they made it on the grill at a diner I used to frequent, the kind where the grill is behind the counter and you can watch. CAUTION: using low fat or no fat mayo or even miracle whip will change the outcome of the final product, the first 2 contain water and the second sugar that does not act in the same manor as an oil or fat sub.

- Heat a small skillet to medium.
- Using a butter knife, spread half of mayonnaise onto one slice of the bread, place mayo side down in the skillet.
- Top with cheese.
- Spread remaining mayonnaise onto second slice of bread and place mayonnaise side up on top of cheese.
- Cook 3 minutes, or until bread is toasty brown, turn and repeat.
- Note: Miracle Whip does not work for this, as the sugar in it tends to burn.
