Steps:
- In a large pot put stew meat and bone, cover with water.
- add salt and pepper,onions,celery, carrots,parsnips, turnip and cabbage.
- Bring to a boil then simmer 2 1/2 hours.
- Add worcestersauce bulion cubes and oregano simmer another 1 hr and enjoy!

Got this from Celeberity Cooking. Since I love casseroles, going to give this a try. Sounds pretty good to boot.

Steps:
- Put shortening in skillet, fry green peppers, onion,and hamburger for 3 minutes. Salt and pepper.
- Remove from heat, stir in eggs and mix well. Put 1 cup corn in caserole. Top with layer of meat and layer of sliced tomatoes. Repeat layers til all used. Cover casserole with crumbs. Dot with butter.
- Bake at 375 for 1 hour
- Prep time is a guess.

- Stir in soup, beans, celery, worcestershire sauce and oregano.
- Simmer covered for 15-20 minutes.

There are many recipes for vegetable beef soup, but this is the best I've tasted. According to the description, this was also the favorite of the Humphrey family. Muriel Humphrey was the wife of the late Senator Hubert Humphrey.

- In a heavy 3 quart kettle, cover the meat with water. Add salt, pepper, and bay leaves. Bring to the bubbly stage, then turn to low while adding the first four vegetables. Simmer at least 2 and 1/2 hours or until the meat is very tender. Remove the bay leaves. Cut the meat into bite-sized pieces. Add tomatoes and the rest of the ingredients. Simmer another 1/2 hour longer, then serve.
