Cajun Oven Fries image

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
  • Cut potatoes into wedges. In a large bowl, combine oil, hot sauce, thyme, paprika, and cumin. Toss potatoes in dressing and spread out in a single layer on a nonstick cookie sheet. Season wedges with salt and pepper and roast for 20 minutes, turning once.

4 medium thin-skinned white potatoes
3 to 4 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
2 tablespoons cayenne pepper sauce
1 teaspoon (1/3 handful) ground thyme or poultry seasoning
1 teaspoon (1/3 handful) sweet paprika
1 teaspoon (1/3 handful) ground cumin
Coarse salt and black pepper

BAKED CAJUN FRIES

These are so good and you could use the recipe as a base to season them however you like, for instance, instead of the cayenne and cumin, you could use rosemary and fresh parsley!

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Lightly grease a baking sheet.
  • In mixing bowl toss the potatoes with the olive oil to coat them.
  • Mix the spices and salt together and toss with the potatoes until evenly covered.
  • Arrange potatoes in a single layer on baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes.
  • Use tongs to flip the fries and bake another 12-15 minutes. They should be golden brown.
  • Serve with ketchup.
