BALSAMIC BEEF DIP SANDWICH
Onions and peppers sautéed in balsamic vinaigrette give these roast beef sandwiches terrific flavor. Serve with beef broth as a dipping sauce.

Steps:
- Heat dressing in medium skillet on medium heat. Add onions and peppers; cover. Cook 5 min., stirring occasionally.
- Stir in 1 Tbsp. broth; simmer, covered, on medium-low heat 10 min., stirring occasionally. Meanwhile, microwave remaining broth in microwaveable bowl on HIGH 1 min. or until hot.
- Fill rolls with meat and onion mixture. Serve with broth as a dipping sauce.

- Cut roast in half. Place in a 5-qt. slow cooker. Combine the soy sauce, bouillon and seasonings; pour over roast. Add water to almost cover roast, about 5 cups. Cover and cook on low for 10-12 hours or until meat is very tender., Remove roast; cool slightly. Discard bay leaf. Shred meat with 2 forks and return to slow cooker; heat through. Serve on rolls with broth.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Open the hoagie rolls and lay out on a baking sheet.
- Heat beef consomme and water in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat to make a rich beef broth. Place the roast beef in the broth and warm for 3 minutes. Arrange the meat on the hoagie rolls and top each roll with 2 slices of provolone.
- Bake the sandwiches in the preheated oven for 5 minutes, or until the cheese just begins to melt. Serve the sandwiches with small bowls of the warm broth for dipping.

Steps:
- Spray 12-inch nonstick skillet with cooking spray. If beef roast comes in netting or is tied, do not remove. Sprinkle beef with Italian seasoning, salt and garlic pepper. Cook beef in skillet over medium-high heat 6 to 8 minutes, turning occasionally, until brown on all sides.
- Spray 5- to 6-quart slow cooker with cooking spray. Place onion in cooker. Top with beef. Pour dressing over beef and onion.
- Cover and cook on Low heat setting 8 to 9 hours.
- Place beef on cutting board; remove netting or strings. Cut or shred beef into small pieces. Return beef to cooker. To serve, spread cut sides of buns with tomato spread; sprinkle with basil. Layer beef, onion mixture and cheese in buns.
