Steps:
- In a quart jar, blueberries, 1 cup sugar, and vodka. (I use frozen blueberries as the freezing process breaks down the cell walls, allowing you to get more juice).
- Seal jar tightly, and place in a dry, dark place for about 2 weeks.
- After two weeks, strain the liquid using a double layer of cheese cloth. Gently squeeze the blueberries, getting as much juice from them as possible.
- In a fresh quart jar, add the second cup of sugar, water to top and the strained liquid. Seal and store again in a dark place until sugar is dissolved.
- Once the sugar has all dissolved, bottle the resulting liqueur in a fresh bottle and let age for roughly 3 months.

BLUEBERRY LIQUOR
This delicious blueberry liquor is best with frozen blueberries rather than fresh due to the organic breakdown that occurs when fruit is frozen. This allows the berries to 'burst' into the vodka and please the taste-buds!

Steps:
- Mash thawed blueberries with a fork in a bowl, then place into a 1-quart canning jar. Add the lemon zest, cloves, and vodka.
- Seal the jar tightly with its lid and place in a cool, dark place. Allow the vodka to stand for 3 months, shaking the jar gently every few days.
- After 3 months, strain out the blueberries, and filter the vodka through cheesecloth into another 1-quart jar. Pour in the simple syrup, seal the jar tightly with its lid, and shake until the syrup has dissolved.
- Again place into a cool, dark place, and age for at least a month. When ready to bottle, filter again through cheesecloth, then pour into a decorative bottle of your choice.

- Blueberry Daiquiri. The idea may seem strange, but don’t knock it until you try it. I wasn’t sure about it, but I was sold by its mere color alone. The purplish-red hue of this blueberry daiquiri is just so seductive.
- Blueberry Gin Smash. One sip of this blueberry gin smash will be a guaranteed smash at your next party. Friday night plans must definitely include this drink.
- Blueberry Vodka Lemonade. This blueberry vodka lemonade is another perfect solution to hot summer days. Just imagine yourself sipping on this cocktail, and you’ll already feel refreshed.
- Blueberry Sangria. This blueberry sangria is a fantastic summer thirst-quencher but is also perfect all year round. It’s a Cabernet Sauvignon at the base, which is spiked with brandy and made extra-fruity with blueberries and orange juice.
- Blueberry Wine Slush. Wine slush is just like wine, but so much cooler. Think 7-11 Slurpees, but more sophisticated. There are not enough words to explain how crazy I am over this cocktail.
- Blueberry Mojito. The lovely colors in this glass are just so inviting, don’t you think? From the photo alone, you can already tell this mojito will be a hit.
- Blueberry Whiskey Spritzer. Say hello to this sensational summer spritzer! Whiskey and tonic water combine with blueberries and lemon juice to create a deliciously refreshing drink.
- Blueberry Moscow Mule. A traditional Moscow mule has a blend of vodka, ginger beer, and lime juice garnished with a wedge of lime. If you want to take it to the next level, simply throw blueberries into the mix.
- Blueberry Basil Bourbon Cocktail. Did you know that blueberry and basil make for a delicious duo? I had no idea, which is why I was so pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed this cocktail.
- Blueberry Lemon Gin Rickey. A classic gin Rickey is a simple combination of bourbon and carbonated water. I’m not a huge fan of its basic flavor, which is why I like to give it a fruity twist.
