Folks will be pleasantly surprised when they taste this unique coleslaw made with broccoli instead of cabbage. The light vinegar dressing isn't overpowering.

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine coleslaw mix and onions. In a jar with a tight fitting lid, combine the remaining ingredients; shake well. Drizzle over coleslaw; toss to coat.

6 cups broccoli coleslaw mix
1/2 cup chopped green onion
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup cider vinegar
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/2 teaspoon dill weed
1/4 teaspoon celery seed
1/4 teaspoon pepper

Steps:

  • Use a vegetable peeler or sharp knife to remove the skin from the halved celeriac. (Rub a little lemon juice over the cut side of the other half before storing it, or it will turn brown.) Cut into thin slices, then cut into long matchstick strips as thin as you can. Do the same with the apple, discarding the core.
  • Mix together the mayonnaise, mustard, lemon juice and parsley, then toss through the celeriac and apple.

Steps:

  • With cutting board and sharp knife, Chop up the red and green cabbage. Slice up the carrots, cucumber, broccoli into thin strips. Place in a bowl.
  • In a small bowl, whisk up the mayo, vinegar, sugar and italian dressing to taste. Add mixture to the veggies, blend well.
  • Chill for 3 hours.

Broccoli and Celery Slaw image

Steps:

  • Combine the broccoli, celery, and red onion in a large mixing bowl.
  • To prepare the dressing, in a small bowl combine the mayonnaise, lime juice, zest, cumin, chili powder, sugar, salt and pepper. Whisk to combine.
  • Pour the dressing over the vegetables and stir to combine. Cover and allow the slaw to sit for at least 30 minutes, tossing every so often to combine well. Top with raisins before serving.
