Butterscotch Puppy Chow Recipes

Steps:

• In a saucepan over low heat, melt the chocolate; add peanut butter and mix until smooth.
• Remove from heat, add cereal and stir until coated.
• Pour powdered sugar into large plastic bag, add coated cereal and shake until well coated. Store in airtight container.

Steps:

• Melt the peanut butter with the butter or margarine and the milk chocolate. Pour over the cereal and toss until well coated.
• Place the coated cereal in a large paper sack then add the confectioners' sugar, fold down the top of the bag and shake to coat.

• Place the powdered sugar into a 1 gallon resealable plastic bag.
• In a large microwave safe bowl melt the butterscotch chips for 1 minute.
• Stir and heat for 30 seconds longer or until melted when stirred.
• Stir in the peanut butter.

Gently stir in cereal until well coated; set aside. , Place confectioners' sugar in a large airtight container. Add cereal mixture and shake until well coated. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

• Pour cereal into a very large bowl. In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter. Microwave on high 30 seconds. Stir gently. Continue microwaving on high, stirring every 30 seconds, until melted and blended. Pour over cereal; gently stir to coat, In batches, place confectioners' sugar in a gallon-sized bag, add cereal mixture and shake until well coated. Spread cereal out on a baking sheet. Let stand until set. Store in airtight containers.

• 2. In a large mixing bowl, pour melted mixture over Perky O's and mix until coated.
• 3. Put powdered sugar in large ziploc or paper bag and add cereal mix. Shake until coated.
• 4. Place on cookie sheet to dry. Then, enjoy!
• *TIP Dairy-free option: use 1/2 cup EarthBalance margarine (contains soy) or Spectrum shortening in place of butter.

• Put cereal in a large mixing bowl. Melt the butter or margarine, chocolate chips and peanut butter together. Pour over cereal and stir gently. Let cool.
• Once cool place coated cereal in a large bag add some confectioners' sugar and shake until coated.

• Melt margarine, peanut butter, chocolate chips and butterscotch chips in saucepan over low heat until mixture is smooth.
• Remove from heat.
• Stir in 7 cups Crispex (or equivalent) cereal, mix well.
• Pour 2 cups powdered sugar in paper grocery bag.
• Dump mixture into bag, close bag.
• Shake bag well for about 30 seconds to cover mixture with powdered sugar.
• I find this is best after refrigeration--and tastes great with milk!
