Caffè Di Alpi Alpine Coffee Recipes
ALPINE MARTINI
Steps:
- 1 small cedar frond, garnish
- Chill a cocktail glass. Place vodka in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake vigorously. Place a perfectly round scoop of Douglas Fir Sorbet in the bottom of the glass. Stick cedar frond into scoop of sorbet. Pour chilled vodka over the top. Sorbet should float.
- Boil first cup of water with sugar and Douglas fir for 10 minutes. Strain and cool.
- Add second cup of water and gin.
- Churn as directed on your ice cream machine. Garnish with a sprig of Douglas fir.
ALPINE COFFEE
This is popular in the Alps region of Switzerland, Germany and Austria where the chilly mountain climate and long skiing season make hot drinks such a necessity. A few sips of this will keep you warm on those snowy, chilly mornings.

- 1. Pour coffee into a large coffee mug.
- 2. Add cream and sugar to taste (optional).
- 3. Stir in the Frangelico and kirsch.
- 4. Top with whipped cream, and grate nutmeg (about 3 to 4 "scratches") on top of the whipped cream. Garnish with a few chocolate shavings, and serve immediately while coffee is still hot.
