Stir-Fried Cabbage With Cashews image

Steps:

  • In a bowl, mix the tomato paste, soy sauce, vinegar, black bean-chile sauce and 1/4 cup of water.
  • Heat the oil in a wok.
  • Add the garlic & crushed red pepper flakes(if using) and stir-fry over moderately high heat for about 30 seconds.
  • Add the cabbage and stir-fry until just wilted, about 5 minutes.
  • Add the sauce mixture and stir-fry for 1 minute.
  • Serve topped with the cashews and brown rice.

2 1/2 tablespoons tomato paste
2 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 1/2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar
1/2 teaspoon kikkoman Thai sweet chili sauce
1 1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 garlic clove, minced
crushed red pepper flakes, to taste
2 lbs savoy cabbage, cut into 2-inch pieces
1/2 cup roasted whole cashews

Crunchy Cabbage Salad With Cashews image

Steps:

  • In a large serving bowl, combine the cabbage, carrots, green onions, and orange segments.
  • Refrigerate until ready to toss salad Crush the ramen noodles into 1/2-inch pieces.
  • Empty the ramen flavor packet into a small mixing bowl.
  • Whisk in the canola oil, vinegar, sesame oil, and sugar, stirring until the dressing is well blended.
  • Refrigerate until ready to serve When you are ready to serve the salad, pour the dressing over the salad and toss to coat everything evenly.
  • Add the cashews or peanuts and noodles, tossing again.
  • Serve immediately.

Steps:

  • Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook the rotini 10 to 12 minutes, until al dente, and drain.
  • In a small bowl, mix the 2 tablespoons sesame oil, soy sauce, vinegar, and sugar.
  • Heat the 1/4 cup sesame oil in a skillet over medium heat. Stir in the broccoli, carrots, red bell pepper, mushrooms, shelled edamame, and cashews. Mix in the sesame oil sauce. Cover skillet, and cook 5 minutes, or until vegetables are tender but crisp. Serve over the cooked pasta.

Steps:

  • In a small bowl, combine the first seven ingredients until smooth; set aside., In a large skillet or wok, stir-fry beef in 1 tablespoon oil until no longer pink. Remove and keep warm. Stir-fry onions, cashews and garlic in remaining oil for 1 minute., Stir cornstarch mixture and add to the pan. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Add beef; heat through. Serve with rice.
