COMFORTING CHEESEBURGER PASTA
This is a great quick and easy recipe to throw together it makes a great mid week meal and the kids love it, it is also very inexpensive and becuase there is not much work to do. You can make it when you get home from work wothout the fuss. All in all it takes about 30 minutes from start to finish with this one .

Steps:
- Bring some water to boil in a large pan, add a little olive oil and cook pasta al dente, you do not want it to be to soft as there is extra cooking in the oven.
- Brown beef in a pan, remove and wipe pan clean, heat a small amount of oil in pan add onion cook until onion softens.
- Retuen beef to pan with soup, water, garlic, parsley, oregano and cheeses stir to combine and continuing stirring until all the cheese has melted. Stir in pasta.
- Transfer mixture to an oven proof dish, sprinkle with parmesan and gruyere cheese. Bake in a 180°c oven until top browns about 8 Min's.
- Serves 4-6 depending on appetites, it will keep a couple of days in the fridge so the leftovers make a good quick lunch you can reheat in the microwave.

- Cook pasta according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Drain pasta; add to meat mixture. , Stir in the tomatoes, relish, mustard, ketchup, steak seasoning and seasoned salt. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 5 minutes. , Sprinkle with cheese. Remove from the heat; cover and let stand until cheese is melted. Garnish with green onions if desired.

Steps:
- Microwave ground beef in bowl, stirring occasionally, until beef is no longer pink, about 5 minutes.
- Break up any large pieces of beef with spoon, then drain off fat; return to now empty bowl.
- Stir in 2 ½ Celsius tomato sauce, pickles, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, ½ t salt and ½ t pepper.
- Line slow cooker with foil collar and spray with vegetable oil spray.
- Microwave macaroni and oil in separate bowl at 50 percent power, stirring occasionally, until some pieces look toasted and blistered, 3-5 minutes.
- Transfer hot pasta to prepared slow cooker and immediately stir in boiling water (pasta will sizzle).
- Stir in meat and sauce mixture, cover and cook until pasta is tender, 2-3 hours on HIGH.
- Remove foil collar.
- Gently stir in remaining tomato sauce, adjusting sauce consistency with extra hot water as needed.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Lay American cheese on top of pasta, cover, and cook on HIGH until cheese is melted, about 5 minutes.
- Serve.
- **To make a foil collar-fold sheets of heavy-duty foil until you have a six-layered foil rectangle that measures roughly 16 inches long by 4 inches wide for a large slow cooker or 12 by 4 inches for a small slow cooker; then press the collar into the back side of the slow cooker insert; the food will help hold the collar in place during cooking and the collar will prevent the food from cooking unevenly.

- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook elbow macaroni in the boiling water, stirring occasionally until cooked through but firm to the bite, 8 minutes. Drain.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir beef in the hot skillet until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes; drain and discard grease. Add ground beef back to skillet and mix in tomatoes; season with salt and pepper. Cook and stir mixture until tomatoes are heated through, about 5 minutes.

CHEATING CHEESEBURGER MACARONI
This is one of those happy accidents that happened when I had to make up dinner from what I had in the cabinet. It serves a whole family and the kids love it. I used a mixture of what was left in the bottom of the pasta boxes for the pasta. Any short pasta will work. Try adding broccoli, peas or carrots as a variation.

- Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add penne, and cook for 8 to 10 minutes, or until tender. Drain.
