Cheesy Pizza Soup Recipes

PIZZA SOUP

This family favorite is done in no time at all. I like to serve it with a crusty bread or garlic bread, and I'll sometimes use bacon or salami instead of pepperoni (just like a pizza!).-Janet Beldman, London, Ontario

Steps:

In a large saucepan, cook the beef, onion, mushrooms and green pepper over medium heat until meat is no longer pink and vegetables are almost tender; drain. Stir in the tomatoes, broth, pepperoni and basil. Cook until heated through. , Ladle into ovenproof bowls; top with cheese. Broil or microwave until cheese melts and is bubbly.

This is my favorite cool weather soup recipe. This is a Red Gold tomato recipe that gets better each time you warm it up. This is a perfect meal with breadsticks or garlic bread.

Steps:

In a large saucepan, sauté mushrooms, onion and Italian sausage for 2 to 3 minutes or until sausage is browned.
Add water, pizza sauce, pepperoni, RED GOLD® Petite Diced Tomatoes Mexican Fiesta and Italian seasoning.
Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Before serving, stir in Parmesan cheese and garnish with mozzarella cheese.

In a large saucepan over medium to medium-high heat, sauté sausage and onion, stirring occasionally.
When the pink color in the sausage has almost disappeared, fold in the mushrooms and garlic. Cook for 5 more minutes, stirring occasionally until mushrooms are softened.
Add water, crushed tomatoes, diced tomatoes, dried basil, dried oregano, dried thyme, dried rosemary, and pepperoni. Bring to a boil and then immediately reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Before serving, stir in Parmesan cheese. Top with mozzarella cheese. Garnish with fresh basil and/or parsley, if desired.
