Steps:

  • 1. Use a very large pan because it will bubble up when you add the Pepsi. Bring sugar and water to a boil; add and heat cherries. Turn off heat and add jello, then add Pepsi, pineapple and nuts. Pour into oblong dish. Chill until firm. Before serving, spread Cool Whip or whipped cream across top and sprinkle with grated cheese. Place on each chop. Sprinkle with brown sugar. Pour Coca-Cola around chops. Cover tightly. Bake in moderate oven at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Blend cornstarch with 2 tablespoons water until smooth. Stir into meat juices. Bake, uncovered, for 15 minutes longer or until meat is fork-tender. Spoon sauce over fruit chops to glaze. Makes 4 servings. http://www.nancyskitchen.com
