CHICKEN WITH BOUILLON

A very easy chicken to make - it is my mom's recipe - hope you like it!

Chicken with Bouillon image

Steps:

  • Melt margarine in a medium skillet over medium heat. Stir in bouillon granules; when melted together, add chicken and brown, turning often. If necessary, add a little more margarine and bouillon. Cook for about 20 minutes, or until chicken is cooked through and juices run clear.

2 tablespoons chicken bouillon granules

Great rice to serve underneath your favorite chicken recipe especially if you serve a sauce over top. Looks great too!

Chicken Bouillon Rice image

Steps:

  • Crumble chicken bouillon cube into water and microwave for 2 minutes, or until mostly dissolved.
  • Pour into pot and add butter and rice.
  • Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.
  • Cover and let simmer for 20 minutes.
  • Fluff rice and salt to taste, if desired.

Steps:

  • In a saucepan bring water to a boil. Add rice and bouillon and stir. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20 minutes. Mix well before serving.

CHEATER'S CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP

I fall back on this recipe when I need some chicken noodle soup prepared in under 30 minutes. I prefer to broil my chicken tenders about 6 minutes per side or until juices run clear. This produces the moistest, tenderest chicken, in my opinion. I serve it with Recipe #96447.

Cheater's Chicken Noodle Soup image

Steps:

  • Place water and one bouillon cube in a 3 quart saucepan. (I never measure, I just fill it up about halfway.)
  • Bring to a boil. Add egg noodles and boil for 3 minutes. (Adjust your time if you aren't using fine egg noodles. Cook for the lowest time in package directions.) Do not drain noodles!
  • Turn heat to OFF. Add remaining bouillon cubes and stir until dissolved.
  • Add carrots and chicken. Stir to heat thoroughly. Add a sprinkling of dried parsley, if desired.
