Chili Spaghetti image

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°. In a large skillet, cook the beef, onion and garlic over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Transfer to a greased 2-1/2-qt. baking dish; stir in the remaining ingredients. , Cover and bake for 65-70 minutes or until spaghetti is just tender. Let stand, covered, for 10 minutes.

1/2 cup chopped onion
2 garlic cloves, minced
3 cups tomato juice
1 can (16 ounces) kidney beans, rinsed and drained
6 ounces spaghetti, broken into 3-inch pieces

1/2 teaspoon pepper

Steps:

  • Cook macaroni according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large nonstick skillet, cook the beef, onion and garlic over medium heat until meat is no longer pink, breaking meat into crumbles; drain. Stir in the tomatoes, beans, tomato paste, chiles and seasonings. Drain macaroni; add to beef mixture., Transfer to a 13x9-in. baking dish coated with cooking spray. Cover and bake at 375° until bubbly, 25-30 minutes. Uncover; sprinkle with cheese. Bake until cheese is melted, 5-8 minutes longer. If desired, top with sliced green onions.

Steps:

  • Cook spaghetti as directed on package. Meanwhile, in 3-quart saucepan, cook beef and onion over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until beef is brown and onion is tender; drain.
  • Stir in tomatoes, beans, tomato sauce, chili powder and salt. Cook uncovered over medium heat about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until as thick as you'd like.
  • Drain spaghetti; divide among dinner plates. Top with beef mixture; sprinkle with cheese.

Chili Cheese Spaghetti Bake image

Steps:

  • 1. Heat oven to 350°F. Lightly spray 13x9-inch glass baking dish with cooking spray.
  • 2. In 10-inch skillet, heat uncooked pasta and sauce mix (from Hamburger Helper box), uncooked elbow macaroni, milk and hot water to boiling over medium-high heat. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 10 to 12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender. Remove from heat. Stir in mushrooms and chili. Spread mixture in baking dish. Sprinkle with cheese.
  • 3. Bake 10 to 14 minutes or until mixture is hot and bubbly and cheese is melted. If desired, broil 3 to 5 minutes to brown cheese. Top with crushed red pepper flakes. Cool 5 minutes before serving.

1 box hamburger helper chili cheese
1 c uncooked large elbow macaroni
2 c milk
1 1/2 c hot water
1 c chopped mushrooms
1 c (15 oz) chili with beans
1 1/2 c shredded italian cheese blend (6 oz)
crushed red peppers flakes, if desired

Fresh meat was difficult to obtain in that part of Alaska, so I learned to make many meals featuring grains and legumes instead! We're looking forward to retiring soon to a small farm in central Maine. All three of our children were 4-H leader for 9 years.

Steps:

  • In a greased small baking dish, combine all ingredients except cheese. Top with 1-1/2 cups of cheese. Cover and bake at 350° for 25 minutes. Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake, uncovered, 10 minutes more.

Texas Chili Pasta Bake image

Steps:

  • Heat oven to 350°F. Spray 13x9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish with cooking spray. Cook and drain pasta as directed on package, using minimum cook time.
  • In 12-inch nonstick skillet, cook beef and bell pepper over medium heat 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until beef is thoroughly cooked and bell pepper is crisp-tender; drain.
  • Stir in chili seasoning mix, tomatoes, enchilada sauce, beans and water. Reduce heat to medium; simmer uncovered 10 minutes. Add pasta, two-thirds of the French-fried onions and 1 cup of the cheese; stir gently. Spoon into baking dish.
  • Spray sheet of foil with cooking spray; place foil sprayed side down over baking dish. Bake 25 minutes. Uncover; sprinkle with remaining French-fried onions, the bacon and remaining 1 cup cheese. Bake 8 to 10 minutes longer or until cheese is melted. Garnish with chopped green onions, if desired.
