Sloppy Joe Sliders Recipe by Tasty image

Steps:

Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
In a saucepan over medium heat, add the ground beef and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Using a spoon, break up the meat and stir until browned.
Add the onion and garlic and continue to cook until the onions are translucent.
Add the ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire, and brown sugar.
Stir until the meat is fully cooked and sauce is evenly combined. Set aside.
Cut the dinner rolls in half and place the bottom half in a baking pan.
Top with meat and sprinkle with cheese. Place the top of the rolls back on top.
Brush the rolls with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Bake for 10 minutes, or until rolls are toasted and cheese is melted.
Cut into individual sliders.

I never really liked store bought sloppy joes because of the onions. So when I was teenager I came up with my own version without them. Over the years I have fiddled with the recipe to make it even more delicious. My dad uses it as his hot dog chili. Each to their own.

Homemade Sloppy Joes or Hot Dog Chili image

Steps:

Brown the beef in a large frying pan, breaking it into tiny pieces.
Drain any excess fat then stir in the rest of the ingredients (except for the buns) with the beef. Simmer on medium heat until the mixture is thick, about 10 minutes.
Serve on hamburger buns or over hot dogs.

Add ground beef and hot dogs to a large skillet on high heat and cook about 3 to 4 minutes then add in the salt, pepper and chopped onions and cook until translucent, another 5-7 minutes.
Add chili, Worcestershire sauce and mustard to the pan, stir well and reduce heat to medium-low.
Spoon the sloppy joe mixture onto the buns and top with American cheese and any other toppings you'd like.
