Chili Fries image

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
  • Lay fries in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake in preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, turning halfway through cooking, until crisp and golden.
  • In a large pot over medium heat, break up ground beef and brown, stirring constantly to break up all the clumps to fine ground.
  • Add remaining ingredients through the onion powder. Bring to boil. Lower heat and simmer for 30 minutes. Serve hot fries on a plate smothered with chili and topped with shredded cheese, if using.

1/2 bag (about 16 ounces) french-fried potatoes (recommended: Ore-Ida Golden Crinkles)
1 pound ground beef
1 (12-ounce) bottle chili sauce (recommended: Heinz)
1 packet chili seasoning (recommended: Lawry's)
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon yellow mustard
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
Shredded Cheddar, optional (recommended: Kraft)

CHILI FIESTA!

This is a great way to have free time while hosting a party!! The prep time is all the work. And can be done the day before. You can serve it over Rice topped with cheese or roll it into a wrap, a side of sour cream, salsa, and sliced avocados. You will like this thick and spicy dish.

Steps:

  • Heat oil in large pot.
  • Cook onions, leeks, garlic, ground, and cubed meats, till browned.
  • Add every thing else except for half the beans.
  • Cook for 2 hours over low heat or in a crock pot.
  • Stir in rest of beans.
  • Taste to see if it`s to your HEAT!
  • Re season, Cook 30 more minutes.
  • Serve with corn bread and a crisp salad.

1 lb ground veal (or mixture) or 1 lb ground turkey (or mixture)
1 1/2 lbs beef, cubed 1/4 to 1/2 inch pieces
1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
8 ounces beer
1 1/2 tablespoons instant coffee
12 ounces tomato paste
3 cups water (Add more if you need to thin)
1/2 tablespoon dark brown sugar
4 -6 tablespoons chili powder
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
1 -2 tablespoon oregano
1 -2 tablespoon parsley
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon salt (optional)
2 teaspoons smoked paprika or 2 teaspoons paprika
2 teaspoons cumin
1 teaspoon curry
2 bay leaves
1 (9 ounce) package au jus mix
1 (32 ounce) can red beans
1 (32 ounce) can pink beans
1 (32 ounce) can black beans
1 (32 ounce) can white beans
2 diced jalapenos (or more) or 2 diced chipotle chiles in adobo (more of you like)

Steps:

  • 1. Brown the beef, pork and chorizo in a nonstick skillet. Drain off the fat.
  • 2. Heat oil in a heavy pot over low heat; cook onions, garlic, and bell peppers for 15 minutes or until tender. Stir in the next 9 ingredients; cook 2 to 3 minutes to mellow the flavors.
  • 3. Add jalapeños, tomatoes, tomato sauce, beans, and the browned meats. Heat through. Add beer, then simmer 15 minutes, stirring once or twice. Season with salt. Serve with grated cheese, if desired.

2 pounds lean ground beef
1/2 pound ground pork sausage
1 pound chorizo, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 medium-sized onions, chopped
4 cloves of garlic, minced
1 each red, green and yellow bell pepper, diced

4 cups grated Monterey Jack cheese, (for garnish), optional

Fiesta Chili Beef and Rice image

Steps:

  • Add oil to a medium saucepan. Stir in rice, and cook over medium heat until rice begins to have a golden color, about 5 minutes. Add 1/2 cup onion and 1/2 cup green pepper; cook and stir for 1 minute. Stir in water and half of the chili sauce. Bring to boil. Mix in corn, lemon juice, and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Cover, and simmer over low heat for 20 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, saute beef with remaining 1/2 cup onion and 1/2 cup green pepper until meat loses pink color and vegetables are tender.
  • Add remaining chili sauce, tomato sauce, cumin, and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Simmer uncovered 15 minutes.
  • Turn rice onto a platter, and fluff with a fork. Sprinkle with cheese, and top with beef mixture. Serve immediately.

  • Dissolve the beef boullion cube in the 1 cup of water.
  • Brown beef and drain.
  • To the beef, add onion, green pepper, seasonings, tomatoes, corn, and bullion with water.

  • Let stand 5 mintues, fluff with fork.
