Steps:
- Beat the pudding mix into the water with a wire whisk until completely dissolved.
- Pour the mixture into an ice-cube try. Cover the ice-cube tray with plastic wrap and poke a toothpick into each cube.
- Freeze until fully hardened (about 1-2 hours).

- Good quality dark chocolate. Sure, I always have fresh fruit, Greek yogurt, and cheese sticks on hand. But another staple in my kitchen? A bar of really good dark chocolate, so that whenever a craving hits I can break off a square.
- Chocolate Mug Cake. Craving a brownie or piece of cake but don’t want a whole pan tempting you? That’s where mug cakes come in! If you haven’t tried them before, essentially it’s a single-serving cake that you mix together in a coffee mug and microwave for just a few seconds.
- Homemade Chocolate Energy Bites. Part of my meal prep each week is making a batch of homemade energy balls or granola bars to keep in the fridge or freezer for an easy snack.
- Chocolate Covered Espresso Beans. Another pantry staple in my house is a container of dark chocolate covered espresso beans. I find that the bitterness of the coffee bean and dark chocolate is just the right amount of bitterness where it satisfies my craving, but is too bitter to keep eating more than just one or two.
- Avocado Chocolate Truffles. If you like the energy bite idea but want something creamier and less chewy, then you need to try these avocado chocolate truffles!
- Healthy Chocolate “Shake” For times when I’m craving chocolate and am actually hungry enough for a full snack, I’ll whip up a simple chocolate smoothie or shake.
- Chocolate for Breakfast. Yes, even dietitians crave chocolate in the morning. And an easy way to satisfy this craving is by stirring a tablespoon of unsweetened cocoa powder or chocolate protein powder to my hot oats or jar of overnight oats.
- Add Mini Chips to Popcorn. While I don’t make this as often as the others, when I’m craving something sweet and salty, I’ll mix 2-3 tablespoons of mini dark chocolate chips in with 3 cups of air-popped popcorn (hold the butter).
