AIR FRYER FROZEN FRENCH FRIES
Straight out of the freezer and better than fast food fries without the guilt of deep-frying. Feel free to use your preferred frozen French fry cut but keep in mind that steak-cut or crinkle will take a couple minutes longer.

Steps:
- Peel the potatoes and cut into fries of equal thickness, no more than 2/3 inch in square thickness recommended. Rinse fries thoroughly in water; drain well. Use a clean kitchen towel to thoroughly dry the fries. Place the fries in the ActiFry Pan, or your air fryer. Drizzle evenly with the oil. Cook for 30 to 40 minutes or until the fries are golden and cooked through, (the cooking time will vary depending on the thickness of the fries and the variety of potato used) Season fries with salt (adjust to taste). CLASSIC FRENCH FRIES RECIPE BY TASTY
Learn the proper way to make French fries! The secret is a double-fry method. First, par-fry the potatoes at a low temperature to cook through, then fry a second time at a higher temperature to brown and crisp the outside. The result is a perfectly tender, fluffy interior and a super crispy exterior.

Steps:
- Fill a large, high-walled skillet with canola oil to a depth of about ½ inch. Heat over medium-high heat until the oil temperature reaches 300°F (150°C).
- Peel the potato and cut into ½-inch (1-cm) batons. Dry the potato thoroughly with paper towels.
- Working in batches to avoid overcrowding the pan, par-fry the fries in the hot oil for about 5 minutes, or until lightly browned and tender. Use a slotted spoon to transfer the fries to a paper-towel lined baking sheet to drain. Season with salt.
- Increase the oil temperature to 375°F (190˚C).
- Return the fries to the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy, 3-5 minutes.
- Use a slotted spoon to transfer the fries back to the paper towel-lined baking sheet to drain. Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve immediately.
- Enjoy!

- Scrub the potatoes and peel if desired (I leave the peels on). Slice in half lengthwise, then cut into 1/4-inch-wide slices (a mandoline is the best way to get even fries; watch your fingers!). Turn the slices on their sides and cut into 1/4-inch sticks. If the sticks are long, cut them in half so that your fries are about 3 to 4 inches.
- Place the potatoes in a large bowl, then pour very hot tap water over the top so that it covers the potatoes by at least 1 inch. Let sit 10 minutes. <—Must do! If you skip the soaking step, the fries will not be as crisp.
- If you’d like to keep the fries warm between batches, preheat the oven to 200 degrees F and keep a baking sheet handy.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375 degrees F according to the manufacturer's instructions. (For my air fryer, that is 3 minutes of preheat time).
