Steps:
- Heat 3 quarts of vegetable stock or chicken broth to a boil in a soup pot. In a separate pot, cook linguini according to package directions and drain.
- Add chicken to boiling broth. Poach chicken 5 minutes in broth. Ladle soup into 4 deep bowls, equally distributing broth and chicken. Divide veggies into 4 equal amounts and place in the bowls. Divide cooked fresh pasta into 4 equal amounts and place into the bowls. Cover bowls and allow to steep for 3 to 4 minutes. Gently incorporate noodles up from the bottom of each bowl and serve. SLURP away! It is customary to slurp as you eat, using oversized spoons to drag the noodles up to your mouth. You might need a bib, but you will have fun! Noodle bowls may be garnished with cilantro and or chives for an extra herby zing.
CRAB BOIL
Steps:
- In a small stockpot, heat the oil over medium heat. Saute the artichokes, sausage and onions until lightly colored, about 5 minutes. Add 12 cups (3 quarts) water, the potatoes, crab boil spice mix, salt, hot sauce, pepper, bay leaves and jalapenos. Cover the pot and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat, add the corn and cover. Cook until the corn is tender, about 10 minutes. Add the crab and cook about 7 minutes. Strain the boil through a colander. Plate immediately on a large serving dish. Garnish with sliced green onions or your favorite fresh herb. Serve with the Garlic Bread.
- Position an oven rack in the top of the oven and preheat the broiler.
- In a small bowl, mix the butter together with the Parmesan, parsley, garlic and scallions; add hot sauce, salt and pepper to taste. Spread the butter mixture on both halves of the baguette. Place on a sheet pan and toast under the broiler, about 2 minutes.

CRAB LINGUINE
My husband loves this dish and can prepare this one himself! Got it out of an ad for Louis Kemp Seafood products. We have used imitation lobster and crab. I bet it would be awesome with shrimp.

" CRAB" NOODLE BOWL
This came out of a need to use some extra imitation crab that I had. I think it would be equally good with shrimp or real crab meat.

CRAB LOUIS
This is a chilled salad invented by a Seattle chef-and I feel like that makes sense. It had to be a chef that had a ton of fresh seafood around that would create a dish like this. Honestly, it's a bit elaborate, but it's wonderful because it manages to be both casual and fancy at the same time. The sauce has a tingle of heat and some sweetness, too. It's almost like a slightly creamy cousin of shrimp cocktail, but with crabmeat.

Steps:
- Make the sauce: In a medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, chili sauce, sour cream, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, half the scallions and a pinch of salt. Taste for seasoning.
- For the crab: Spread the crab out on a rimmed baking sheet and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with the remaining scallions and half the chives. Drizzle with the sauce to taste. Do not mix.
- To plate: Arrange the lettuce leaves as cups in a circle on a large plate. Disperse the tomatoes around the lettuce. Spoon some of the crab into each lettuce cup. Top each cup with an egg quarter and season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with the remaining chives and a squeeze of lemon. Hold in the refrigerator until ready to serve and enjoy cold.
GARLIC AND CRAB NOODLES
Steps:
- Bring a large of salted water to a boil over high heat. Put a large skillet or wok over high heat and add the oil, garlic and ginger and cook, stirring constantly, until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Meanwhile, add the linguine to the boiling water. Add the crab to the hot wok and toss to coat in the garlic and ginger. Once the crab starts to turn color, add the soy sauce, sambal, black bean sauce and a ladle of pasta cooking water. Bring to a simmer and cook until it reduces and thickens slightly, 5 to 7 minutes.
- Drain the linguine, reserving about 1 cup of the cooking water, and add the pasta to the crab along with the parsley, honey and butter and toss to combine. Cook until thickened again, about 2 minutes. If the mixture seems dry, add more pasta water until it's saucy. Serve hot.
