CROCK POT ITALIAN BEEF OR VENISON

I love 5 ingredient or less recipes, and I also love smelling dinner when I walk in from work. A friend of mine used this recipe for a venison roast and said it was terrific!

Steps:

  • Put roast in crock pot.
  • Add bouillon cubes and powdered dressing mix.
  • Pour entire jar (do NOT drain) of peppers over roast.
  • Cook 6-8 hours on HIGH.
  • When roast is tender and falling apart, finish shredding (I just stick 2 forks in the crock pot and start pulling apart) and serve on fresh hoagie rolls.
  • Delicious!

CROCK POT ITALIAN BEEF

I start this after dinner the night before and forget it so much that when I get up in the morning I wonder what smell so good! I usually do a quick stir about 12-13 hours into it just so anything thats not in the juice gets mixed. Serve it with Mozzarella cheese on crispy rolls for a really good sandwich thats easy.

  • Add onion and/or peppers if you like.
  • Sprinkle dry mix over the top of all.
  • Cook on low for 24 hours. (Note: NO liquids at all. The moisture stays trapped in the crockpot as long as you don't open it up.).

Steps:

  • Trim fat from meat; cut meat into 1-inch cubes.
  • In a 3 ½ to 4-quart crock pot, combine meat, onion chunks, and bell pepper pieces.
  • In medium bowl, combine spaghetti sauce, garlic,1/2 teaspoon of salt, oregano, and black pepper; mix and pour over the meat and vegetables.
  • Cover and cook on low setting for 9 to 10 hours or on high for 4 1/2 to 5 hours.
