Steps:

  • Mix flour, sugar, dates, salt and nuts together. Add 2 eggs and mix throughly. Spread into an 8x8 inch greased pan.
  • Bake at 325* for 40 minute
  • When cooled make into balls and roll in sugar.

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Cream shortening and sugar.
  • Add eggs and vanilla.
  • Mix flour and salt with nuts, coconut and dates.
  • Fold flour mixture into creamed mixture.
  • Bake in greased 8 x 8 inch baking dish for 20 minutes.
  • Cool slightly on a rack before cutting into bars.

Steps:

  • Mix the dry ingredients well, then add slightly beaten eggs.
  • Bake in shallow greased pan in a thin layer at 325 for 25 minutes.
  • Cut with a sharp knife while still warm, roll into logs, and roll in icing sugar or fruit sugar.

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (180 degrees C).
  • Mix dry ingredients except confectioner's sugar. Add nuts and dates.
  • Then add eggs which have been lightly beaten. Mix well.
  • Press mixture into ungreased cookie sheet as thin as possible. Bake for 15-20 minutes.
  • Cut into 1 -2 inch squares while hot. Roll into balls as soon as the squares are cool enough to handle then roll in confectioner's sugar. Allow to cool completely before eating.
