  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
  • In a medium bowl, mix together oats, flour, and coconut. Stir in oil and water. Press dough into a 9 inch pie pan.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 12 minutes, until lightly browned.

Steps:

  • Place peanut butter in small bowl. Press dry milk through fine-mesh strainer into bowl of peanut butter; stir together.
  • In large bowl, mix cereal, almonds, apricots and peanut butter mixture with spoon or hands until well coated. Drizzle with honey; mix again until well coated.
  • Spray 8-inch square pan with cooking spray or use nonstick pan. Pour mixture into pan. Cover with double thickness of foil; press down firmly with bottom of glass to compact mixture.
  • Cut bars into 4 rows by 2 rows; wrap individually in plastic wrap.

  • Crush the Fiber One cereal in a sealed bag or process in a food processor until a crumb consistency.
  • Melt butter and combine all ingredients.
  • Mix thoroughly.

  • Bake for 8-10 minutes. Do not brown.
  • Remove and let cool.

Steps:

  • In large bowl combine the flour, sugar and salt.
  • Cut in the shortening or lard using a pastry blender.
  • Lightly beat the egg yolk, water and the apple cider vinegar together in a small bowl. Add this mixture to the flour, mixing with a fork only until moistened. DO NOT overstir.
  • Shape the dough into a flat circle. Wrap in plastic or waxed paper. Chill for at least a half hour.
  • On a floured cutting board, roll the dough to the diameter of 11 inches. Fit the dough into the pie plate and trim off to within about 1/2" to 1" larger than the size of the pie plate.
  • Turn the dough that hangs over the sides under, and crimp edges as desired.
  • Fill and bake the pie crust as directed by the recipe you are using.
