Flank Steak Wraps With Zesty Avocado Sauce image

Steps:

  • Season steak with 1 1/8 teaspoon salt and 1/8 teaspoon pepper. Place steak on the rack of a broiler pan. Broil 5 min on the first side and 4-6 minutes on the second side until well browned on the outside and still pink at the center. Test steak for doneness after about 9 minutes.
  • While steak is cooking, make avocado sauce: Combine oil, lemon juice, parsley, shallot, garlic, remaining salt, and pepper in a bowl. Stir well. Gently stir in avocado.
  • Remove steak and allow to rest 3-5 minutes. Thinly slice against the grain. Spoon half the steak into each wrap. Spoon on zesty avocado sauce.

  • In a small bowl, combine the first 6 ingredients. Pour 1/3 cup marinade into a large resealable plastic bag; add the beef. Seal bag and turn to coat; refrigerate for 1 hour. Add salt and pepper to remaining marinade; cover and refrigerate. , Drain beef and discard marinade. In a large nonstick skillet or wok, lightly oiled, stir-fry beef until no longer pink; remove and keep warm. In the same pan, stir-fry onion and peppers until crisp-tender. Stir in reserved marinade. Return beef to the pan; heat through., Spread tortillas with cream cheese; top with beef mixture and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Roll up.
