FRESH PEACH TURNOVERS
I came up with this recipe cuz of an abundance of peaches on my tree. I just love the sweet peaches in the flaky puff pastry!

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 400º.
- As you're slicing the peaches, save the juice.
- Combine peach juice with sugar and cornstarch in saucepan. Cook until thick and bubbly.
- Add peaches, butter, cinnamon and nutmeg.
- Cool slightly.
- Lightly roll out each pastry sheet on floured surface.
- Cut each sheet into 4 squares.
- Place some of peach filling on half of each square. Brush edges with beaten egg. Fold over into a triangle (or rectangle) and press to seal edges (or crimp with fork).
- Place on baking sheets.
- Bake at 400º for 10-15 minutes until lightly brown and puffy.
- Cool on racks.
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Or frost with a powdered sugar frosting.

DECADENT OZARK PEACH TURNOVERS
This recipe originally uses apples, but with peach season in full swing here in the Ozarks, these sweet little tangy fruits made the perfect turnovers. Add a dash of cinnamon and pair with homemade vanilla ice cream and your friends and family will be begging for more.

Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Cut peaches into 16 crescent-shaped slices.
- Unroll crescent roll dough on a flat work surface and separate into 16 triangles. Place a peach slice at the base of each triangle and roll up to enclose in the dough. Arrange turnovers in a baking pan.
- Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Whisk in sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Pour evenly over the turnovers in the baking pan. Pour citrus-flavored soda over the turnovers. Sprinkle cinnamon on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven until turnovers are golden brown and liquid is bubbling, 30 to 40 minutes.

FRESH CHERRY TURNOVERS
This recipe was posted by request. It's from Country Living Magazine, a summer issue from 200, I think. These are absolutely the MOST delicious things EVER, and I think the dough would make an excellent pie crust for most any kind of fruit pie.

Steps:
- *Makethe dough: In the bowl of a food processor fitted with a metal blade, combine the flour, sugar, ginger, and salt.
- Pulse until well blended.
- Add butter and cream cheese to the processor and pulse until mixture resembles coarse meal.
- With processor running, slowly add water and mix just until dough comes together.
- Form dough into a disk and wrap with plastic wrap.
- Chill dough for 30 minutes.
- *Formthe turnovers: In a medium bowl, mix the cherries, lemon zest, lemon juice, cornstarch, and salt together and set aside.
- *Assemble:Ona lightly floured surface, roll out dough and cut out 6-inch circles.
- Gather and rechill dough scraps and repeat until 15 dough circles are cut out.
- Evenly divide the cherry filling among the dough circles.
- Dampen the edge of each dough circle and fold in half over the cherry filling.
- Lightly press the edges with the tines of a fork to seal each half-moon-shaped turnover.
- Place turnovers on two parchment-lined baking sheets and chill for at least 30 minutes.
- *Bakethe turnovers: Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
- Use a sharp knife to cut 2 or 3 small slits on top of each turnover to create vents.
- Place turnovers on the middle rack of the oven and bake until crust is golden and cherry juice begins to ooze from the vent holes-- 20 to 25 minutes.
- Cool turnovers on a wire rack.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
