FROZEN HOT CHOCOLATE
Steps:
- Break the bittersweet chocolate into pieces and place it in a medium bowl set over a pot of simmering water, stirring occasionally, until just melted. Off the heat, whisk in the cocoa powder, sugar, and half-and-half and set aside.
- Place 3/4 cup of the milk, 2 tablespoons of the coffee liqueur, 1/2 teaspoon of the vanilla, and half of the chocolate mixture in a blender. Add 2 cups of the ice and blend for several minutes, until the mixture is thick but not icy, like a frozen daiquiri. (You can add a little more milk or ice if it's too thick or too thin.) Pour into two (10-ounce) ice cream soda glasses and top each with a generous dollop of whipped cream and some grated chocolate. Repeat for the second two glasses. Serve ice cold with straws and long-handled spoons.
- Place the cream, sugar, and vanilla in the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the whisk attachment and beat on high speed until the cream forms very soft peaks (don't overbeat or the cream will be too firm).
FROZEN HOT CHOCOLATE WITH EVAPORATED MILK
The rich chocolaty deliciousness of hot chocolate, refreshingly frozen. My son and his friends cheer when I make this decadent treat! Top each serving with whipped cream. Sprinkle additional chocolate chips or chocolate shavings, if desired. Serve with a straw or spoon.

CHILL OUT FROZEN HOT CHOCOLATE
We serve this in our ice cream parlor and it's very popular. I know there's another frozen hot chocolate recipe here, but this one is different, as it's made with hot cocoa mix.

Steps:
- Pour milk into blender.
- Add hot cocoa mix and ice.
- Blend first at low speed and then high speed until ice is finely crushed and slushy.
- Pour into tall glass and top with whipped cream and a dusting of hot cocoa mix, if desired.
- Serve with a straw and enjoy!
- P.S. This recipe was originally posted using small ice cubes. At our shop we have a commercial blender that has no problem getting through these. Since most people have regular blenders, I have changed it to crushed ice.

FROZEN HOT CHOCOLATE
Oprah recently featured this treat as one of her favorite things. I ordered the mix from Serendipity in NYC. The food editor from our local paper went in search of the recipe after numerous requests from readers and here it is--straight from Serendipity 3 restaurant. When my mix arrives, I'll let you know how this recipe compares to the real deal.

BIGGEST LOSER'S FROZEN HOT CHOCOLATE
I got this recipe from the Biggest Loser Cookbook, and I love that it's so easy and that it's a low calorie and fat free treat! *Note: Cooking time is the freezing time* The cookbook says 25 calories, 0 g fat, but I think that was calculated without the whipped topping.
