Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine the oats, milk powder, fruit, walnuts, wheat germ and cinnamon. , In a small saucepan over medium heat, bring brown sugar and water to a boil. Remove from the heat; stir in oil and vanilla until mixed. Pour over oat mixture and toss to coat. Pour into a 15x10x1-in. baking pan. , Bake at 275° for 35-45 minutes. Stir in raisins. Cool, stirring occasionally. Store in an airtight container.

  • In bowl over saucepan of hot (not boiling) water, melt chocolate with condensed milk, stirring frequently, until smooth. Stir in vanilla. Stir in cranberries and pecans.
  • Pour into foil-lined 8-inch (2 L) square cake pan; smooth top. Refrigerate for about 3 hours or until firm.
  • Turn out onto cutting board; peel off foil. Cut into squares. (Make-ahead: Layer between waxed paper in airtight container and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.).

  • Tip: To toast nuts, bake on baking sheet in 350°F (180°C) oven for 8 to 10 minutes or until fragrant and golden.

  • Pour over nuts and stir until well coated.
  • Heat oil in a saucepan until hot, then pour over nuts and mix thoroughly. Spread the nuts on a tray lined with nonstick baking paper and bake in a 350 degree oven F. for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown.
